Traits in Sailor Piece are one of the most important things you can get for your character. They give you passive bonuses to three key stats: Damage, Defense, and Cooldown Reduction. If your character feels weak right now, there's a good chance a better Trait will fix that.

What Do Traits Do in Sailor Piece?

Every Trait you equip as a multiplier on your stats. That means if your base damage is 100 and your Trait gives you a 2.20x Damage multiplier, you are dealing 220 damage instead. And these multipliers stack up fast, especially when you combine a high-damage Trait with a strong character.

The three stats that Traits affect are:

  • Damage (DMG) - How hard you hit. Higher multipliers can clear enemies and bosses faster.
  • Health Points (HP) - How well you survive hits.
  • Cooldown Reduction (CDR) - How quickly your skills come back.

Not every Trait has all three bonuses. Some Traits focus on one or two stats, which matter a lot depending on your playstyle.

How to Get Traits in Sailor Piece

You can get Trait by using items called Trait Rerolls. Every time you use one, you get a randomly rolled Trait. To get more Trait Rerolls, you just need to defeat enemies. They drop from regular mobs and bosses across the game. The more you grind, the more rerolls you collect.

Since Traits are completely random, you might get a common one, or you might land a top-tier trait on your first roll. Most players end up spending a lot of Trait Rerolls before they hit what they want, so stock up before you go on a rerolling spree. Here is how to reroll your traits:

  1. Teleport to Sailor Island and go to the building on the left side of the area.
  2. Interact with the Trait Master NPC.
  3. Reroll your traits.

Which Traits Are Worth Going For?

The best overall trait right now is the Celestial. If you want a massive damage output, this is what you are aiming for. If you keep dying before you can do anything, then Overlord is your answer. It has the highest Defense, which means enemies will defeat you a lot slower.

Singularity sits right between Celestial and Overlord. It is arguably the best all-around Trait for boss fights where you need both survivability and strong burst damage. If you can not land a Secret trait, Malevolent is the Mythic Trait.

A tip for you: Don't reroll your Trait until you have a decent stock of Trait Rerolls saved up. You might get unlucky and burn through them fast without landing anything good. Try to have at least 20 or more before you start rolling. If you get stuck with a Common or Epic Trait early, Overdrive is the one worth holding onto temporarily since it is one of the only lower-tier Traits that gives CDR.

Once you hit Legendary or Mythic Traits, you are in a comfortable spot to take on most content. Hope you have good luck in rerolling! If you want some redeem codes or want to learn more about the game, you can visit our dedicated Sailor Piece wiki.
