Sakamoto Days Part 2 Episode 2 finally puts the spotlight on one of the series’ most quietly dangerous characters, Osaragi. She may have a soft voice and demure attitude, but she’s a high-ranking assassin in the Order, and this episode wastes no time exploring what makes her so deadly, explosive, and somehow lovable. From her unsettling composure to her fiery fight mode, here’s everything you need to know about Osaragi’s role in Sakamoto Days, her combat style, personality, and the chilling battle that showcased her strength.

First aired on July 14, 2025, via Netflix Japan, the episode spotlights multiple explosive showdowns. While Shin and Lu struggled against the ruthless prison inmate Saw, Osaragi went head-to-head with another threatening escapee, the deranged and spike-wielding Dump.

After parting ways with Shishiba, Osaragi arrives at a shrine and casually prays for a “kill.” That prayer was not going to be left unanswered for long. Dump, after overhearing her, ambushes her with her deadly prosthetic spikes.

But even with her eyes closed, Osaragi effortlessly avoids the attack. The subsequent battle is a bloody display of her brute strength and disturbing calm. She dismantles Dump with unflinching brutality.

Visually, Osaragi immediately stands out. She is a slender and seemingly delicate young woman. She has long, straight black hair and bluish-grey eyes in the anime (red in the manga). Her go-to outfit is a dark purple dress with floral mesh sleeves, black boots, and a see-through veil, giving her the appearance of someone attending a funeral.

Accompanied by her expressionless face and unsettling calm, Osaragi’s eyes beautifully sum up her silent killer aura, setting her apart from the rest of Sakamoto Days’ assassin roster.

Osaragi’s Character: Childlike, Apathetic… and Potentially Lethal

Osaragi isn’t your typical cold-blooded killer. Her behavior is far more eccentric. She has a child’s personality, randomly comparing people to animals (calling Sakamoto a bear and Dump an echidna). She is impulsive, blunt, and somehow uninvolved in the chaos that surrounds her.

She rarely seems fazed by danger, and rather than accepting responsibility for her actions, will blame others, mainly Shishiba, for even the smallest things. She even apologizes for things with no context to her. This makes her actions appear even stranger.

Beneath all the quirks lies a cold layer of professionalism. She prays before combat out of respect, but shows no mercy while blowing up shrines or statues if it helps her complete the mission.  Following her encounter with Dump, however, we begin to notice a more reflective side of her. She aims to avoid harming civilians and shows concern for those not in the assassin world.

Combat Abilities: A Buzzsaw-Wielding Monster in Disguise

Don’t be fooled by her gentle tone or veil. Osaragi is one of the Order’s most lethal assassins, a member of an elite within the Japanese Association of Assassins (JAA). She was a farm girl prior to her recruitment, and that makes all the more remarkable her ferocity on the battlefield.

Weapon of Choice: The Collapsible Buzzsaw

Osaragi’s go-to weapon is a briefcase-sized foldable buzzsaw. It can be whirled around like a flail with cables, allowing her to unleash wild and unpredictable attacks. Close-range or long-range, it doesn’t matter; she executes it with ruthless precision.

What is even more frightening is the fact that she can use anything as a weapon. During her battle with Dump, she used coins, shrine tchotchkes, and even a Buddha statue to devastating effect.

Super Strength and Reflexes

Osaragi’s physical prowess is wild for someone of her size. She smashes stone statues with a wave of her hand, sends enemies flying across the room, and decapitates shrine statues like it’s nothing. Her speed is equally terrifying — she moves faster than most can react, effortlessly dodging and pursuing other assassins.

Endurance and Pain Tolerance

In combat, Osaragi is almost immune to pain. She doesn’t react when stabbed, sometimes pushing the weapon deeper into herself in an attempt to get the upper hand. Her inability to hesitate and keep fighting gives her a psychological edge over most opponents.

The encounter between Osaragi and Dump is more than a flashy fight; it’s a closer look at both characters’ psyches. Dump, a killer with prosthetic spikes and a bloodlust, tries to make the case that they’re the same, two amoral killers.

Osaragi, unmoved, dismissed the analogy. To her, people like Dump are nothing more than pests intruding on her home, the JAA.

The battle ends brutally. As Dump lies defeated, Osaragi tells her she “loves” her, not out of affection, but as one last unsettling gesture before slicing her down.

Mysterious Force That Operates in the Background

Osaragi has quickly become one of Sakamoto Days’ most intriguing characters. Her eerie calm, absurd strength, and oddly innocent demeanor all contribute to making her a walking contradiction, one that cannot be avoided.

Whether she’s offering snacks, apologizing for something she didn’t do, or smashing foes with a buzzsaw and a blank expression, Osaragi is a force of nature and one of the most unforgettable presences in the anime.

Final Thoughts on Osaragi

Sakamoto Days Episode 13 (Cour 2 Episode 2) did more than provide some high-octane action. It placed Osaragi in the spotlight she deserves. With her razor-sharp reflexes and unpredictable behavior, she’s now firmly one of the most skilled members of the Order.

So who is Osaragi, then? She’s a ghost in human form, a farm girl who became one of the strongest assassins in the Sakamoto Days world. With the spotlight now on her, fans can expect Osaragi to play an even more pivotal role as the anime unfolds.
