- It adds features like Circle to Search, AI Select, and Object Eraser to the latest Galaxy A series.
- It is currently available on the Galaxy A56, A36, and A26 5G.

Samsung is bringing AI-powered features to its Galaxy A series with a new suite called Awesome Intelligence. It’s basically a lighter version of Galaxy AI, which we’ve seen on the premium Galaxy S series and foldables.
Awesome Intelligence is currently available on the Galaxy A56, Galaxy A36, and Galaxy A26. While Samsung doesn’t explicitly say it, this allows them to keep advanced AI features exclusive to premium phones while still upgrading mid-range models.
And whether intentional or not, the name ‘Awesome Intelligence’ almost feels like a playful jab at ‘Apple Intelligence’, given the ongoing rivalry between Samsung and Apple.
Samsung Awesome Intelligence Features
In a recent newsroom post, Samsung highlighted the AI-powered features in Awesome Intelligence, calling it their way of “democratizing AI.” The company says it wants to bring AI-powered experiences to more people.
While Awesome Intelligence doesn’t include any generative AI features, it does offer several utility and camera-focused enhancements. Here’s what you get:
1. Circle to Search
Circle to Search has been one of the most used Galaxy AI features so far, and luckily, it’s part of this new suite. Even better, this is a new version that not only helps you identify what’s on your screen but can now also recognize music.
2. AI Select
Alongside Circle to Search, Samsung includes its own AI Select feature in the sidebar. It provides contextual suggestions based on what’s on your screen, whether it’s text, images, or videos. You can scan QR codes, save an image as your wallpaper, and even create GIFs from a playing video—all with a single tap.
3. Read Aloud
The Samsung Internet browser includes a Read Aloud feature, a text-to-speech tool that converts online text into voice. With a single tap, you can listen to an entire article or webpage instead of reading it.
4. Object Eraser and Edit Suggestions
While Awesome Intelligence doesn’t include generative editing features, Galaxy A users can still remove unwanted objects from photos.
The gallery also provides edit suggestions, allowing you to add background blur, erase reflections, enhance image quality with AI, and refine photos for a cleaner look.
5. Best Face
Best Face lets users pick the best facial expressions for up to five people from motion photos and merge them into a single group shot. It selects faces from different frames to make sure everyone looks their best in the final image.
Samsung mentions this feature is exclusive to the Galaxy A56 5G in the Galaxy A series. It only works when Motion Photo is turned on and doesn’t generate new expressions. Instead, it picks from existing frames in the Motion Photo clip. The feature can recognize up to five people per image and suggest up to three alternative expressions per person.
6. Auto Trim and Filters
Samsung also offers Auto Trim feature which analyzes multiple videos to pick out the best moments and compiles them into ready-to-share highlight clips. You can create reel-worthy video out of multiple clips.
Alongside this, the Filters feature lets users create custom filters by extracting colors and styles from existing images, adding a unique personal touch to portraits and selfies.
Who Will Get Samsung Awesome Intelligence?
As mentioned, Awesome Intelligence is exclusive to the latest Samsung Galaxy A series phones. Currently, it is available on the Galaxy A56, Galaxy A36, and Galaxy A26 5G. These features have not been rolled out to older models, and there is no information on whether they will be in the future. Availability may also vary by region.
