Samsung has officially announced its Galaxy Unpacked event, where the company is expected to unveil its latest flagship smartphones: the Galaxy S25 Ultra, S25, and S25 Plus, along with other Samsung products. While anticipation is high for the lineup, the rumored Galaxy S25 Slim is creating buzz for its exceptionally thin design.
The leaked renders and details from Smartprix and OnLeaks provide a glimpse into the Galaxy S25 Slim’s defining feature—its slimness—and other design elements.

S25 Slim: Sleek Design and Ultra-Thin Dimensions
Renders show the device will feature a flat frame and minimal bezels. Leaked measurements suggest the S25 Slim could be just 6.4mm thick without the camera module. Overall dimensions are expected to be 159.0mm in height, 76.0mm in width, and 6.4mm in depth (8.3mm with the camera module). The display size will likely match the Plus models of the Galaxy S25 series.
The trend toward ultra-slim smartphones is heating up, with Samsung and Apple competing for the crown. While the S25 Slim is expected to set a new standard for thinness, reports suggest Apple’s upcoming iPhone 17 Air might be even slimmer at 6.25mm.
S25 Slim vs. Other Galaxy Models

At just 6.4mm thick (without the camera), the S25 Slim is significantly thinner than many smartphones on the market, which typically measure between 7mm and 10mm. For comparison, the standard Galaxy S25 Ultra is rumored to be 8.2mm thick without its camera bump.
The S25 Slim is also thinner than its siblings, the S25 (7.2mm) and S25+ (7.3mm). While it shares design elements with the rest of the Galaxy S25 lineup, such as a flat display and minimal bezels, its ultra-thin profile sets it apart.
Samsung seems to be targeting users who value a slim, ergonomic design over features like extended battery life or advanced camera capabilities. For those prioritizing portability and sleek aesthetics, the S25 Slim could be the perfect choice.
S25 Slim Is Thin Yet Powerful
Despite its focus on thinness, the Galaxy S25 Slim is expected to retain most of the flagship features from the S25 series. The device will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, paired with 12GB of RAM, and will run Android 15 with Samsung’s One UI 7. These specifications suggest the S25 Slim will offer excellent performance in a slim form factor.
For photography, the S25 Slim is rumored to include a triple rear camera setup featuring:
- 200MP main sensor (Samsung’s ISOCELL HP5)
- 50MP ultrawide sensor (ISOCELL JN5)
- 50MP telephoto lens with 3.5x optical zoom, likely using All Lenses on Prism (ALoP) technology to maintain the thin design.
When Can You Expect It?
The Galaxy S25 Slim is expected to be teased at the Galaxy Unpacked event on January 22, 2025. However, it may officially launch much later, likely in May 2025, if rumors are to be believed.
