Samsung introduced its One UI 7 beta update for its S24 series with many new features. A new Galaxy AI feature Writing Assist has been introduced which is quite similar to Apple Intelligence’s Writing Tools. Samsung’s Writing Assist helps you summarize articles, rewrite emails or anything you type in different tones, check and correct grammar, and more with just one tap.

Writing Assist: What All You Can Do With It

Unlike Apple’s Writing Tools, Samsung works not just on Samsung apps but also for third-party and social media apps. Here are the features of Writing Assist you should check out:

1. Spelling and Grammar

You can now check and correct spelling or grammar mistakes of text, whether it’s an email or a social media app. Yup, it works in any third-party app and not just Samsung apps. You can easily replace the incorrect text with the corrected version by simply tapping the Replace option.

2. Writing Style

With this feature, you can use AI to refine and enhance the style of your text, tailoring it to suit your specific needs. Additionally, you have the flexibility to adjust your writing style based on the tone or emotion you want to convey, with options such as Professional, Casual, Social, Polite, and even Emojify for a more playful touch.

You can now summarize lengthy articles making it more concise and to the point. That will save you time giving you gist of the matter without having to read the whole article. If you like what you read of need more context, you can opt for a detailed mode if you prefer a more comprehensive summary.

4. Bullet Point

This feature lets you convert your text into bullet points, making it short, to the point, and easier to understand.

5. Composer

It is now easier to compose messages effortlessly by providing just an idea or context. You can choose the type of message you want to create, such as an email, social media post, or comment, and customize it further by selecting a style or tone like Professional, Casual, or Polite.

How to Enable Writing Assist

1. Open Settings and tap on Galaxy AI.
2. Scroll down and tap on Writing Assist.
3. You’ll see a menu with the four features which you can enable or disable according to your preference.

Also, you get one more option in Style and grammar named Process data only on device for privacy which process your entered text on your device instead of online.
