Rebirthing is the first major reset system in Sell Lemons, and it completely changes how your progression scales once you unlock it. If you have hit a wall where your income just is not growing fast enough anymore, rebirthing is almost certainly the answer. Here is how to rebirth in Sell Lemons, along with all the benefits that come with it.
How to Rebirth in Sell Lemons
Rebirth is unlocked by finding Joe the Alien at his UFO on your map. To unlock him you need to spend money building up your base until you reach around $77 Sextillion Cash in total value. Once unlocked, you can rebirth at any time by talking to Joe or clicking the Alien icon in your side menu.
When you rebirth, you lose all your Cash, Income Sources, and upgrades. In exchange you receive a set amount of Investors based on how much total cash you had accumulated. Investors provide a permanent cash bonus that can be upgraded further, which speeds up your income on your next run. You can also use the investors to buy various powers from the power shop.
My recommendation is to buy Manage and Expert Picker. Manage makes it easier for you to handle your base and Expert Picker helps you gain more money from the fruits on the trees.
Is Rebirthing Worth It in Sell Lemons
Yes, absolutely. This is not even a close call. Once you hit the point where your income growth starts to slow down significantly, rebirthing is what gets you moving again. The Investor bonus applies permanently and stacks with future rebirths, meaning every run after your first becomes faster than the one before it.
Trying to progress without rebirthing past a certain point becomes incredibly slow and frustrating. The cash requirements for upgrades and income sources keep climbing, and without the Investor bonus boosting your income from the start of each run, you will hit a wall that takes far longer to push through than it would with even one or two rebirths under your belt. Once you unlock Joe the Alien, do not be afraid to use him. The temporary loss of progress pays for itself very quickly. For more guides, check out Sell Lemons wiki.
