How to Craft Armors in The Forge?

The Forge armors crafting

Below is a step-by-step guide to crafting armors, with a brief description of the mini-games required to complete:

  • Go to the forging station: You can use the forging stations of both islands. However, use the Forgotten Kingdom’s station once you unlock the island by reaching level 10. Press the “E” button to open the forging menu once you get to the station. Here is a list of all locations and POIs for reference.
  • Select ores: Select the optimal amount of ores required to craft the armor piece of your choice and tap the Forge button to start mini-games.
  • Smelting mini-game: Complete the mini-game by filling up the bar at the right side of your screen. You must click on the pump and drag the mouse button up and down until the bar fills with green.
  • Puring mini-game: Complete the mini-game by filling up the progress bar at the bottom of your screen with white. A bar with a yellow box and a needle appears on the right side of the screen. Click and hold the right mouse button and keep the needle inside the yellow box to fill up the progress bar.
  • Molding mini-game: Click on the screen a required number of times to reveal the armor’s shape.
  • Shaping mini-game: A small circle within a big one appears. They will appear a certain number of times based on the armor’s class and shape. The big one shrinks over time and becomes closest to the inner circle, and gradually disappears. You must click inside the small circle when both are the nearest.
  • Accept the armor: A dialog box will appear after the forging process is complete. Click the green Accept button to add it to your inventory.

Note that the shaping mini-game is one of the most important steps. Four results appear based on the timing you click inside the circle: Bad, Good, Ok, and Perfect. Try to click when the big circle perfectly overlaps the smaller one to get the “Perfect” result. Consistently obtaining it results in a weapon with the best possible stats and rarity. Best The Forge Armors to Craft

The best armors for you depend on your playstyle. If you want high movement speed, Light class armors are the best choice. Those wanting a bit of both defense and protection can craft the Medium class armors. Lastly, if you’re okay with sacrificing the movement speed and only want the best protection, Heavy class armors are the way to go. You can also mix the armor class and wear pieces of each class. Based solely on health boost, here are some of the best armors to craft:

  • Dark Knight Heavy variant: Dark Knight’s helmet, chestplate, and leggings give the biggest health boost. However, you must significantly sacrifice the movement speed.
  • Samurai Medium variant: The Samurai’s helmet, chestplate, and leggings are best at providing a significant health boost and decent movement speed.

You can forge Light or a normal variant of the Medium armors for the early game. It’s best to use your resources on crafting the best weapons and pickaxes because there will be quests that involve killing zombies and collecting the rarest ores.

Tips and Tricks to Crafting the Best Armors

Here are some of the tips and tricks to crafting the best The Forge armors:

  • Combine only higher rarity ores to craft an armor piece. This ensures your armor will have a high average stats and price multiplier when you obtain it. Using only higher-rarity ores also grants higher-rarity armor.
  • Use ores with traits to grant a passive to the armor, such as Obsidian, Uranium, Mythril, Eye Ore, Lightite, and Darkryte.
  • Using the best Pickaxes is a must. You will be able to farm the rarest ores swiftly, without struggling much. Buy Pickaxes with the highest luck boost and mining power for best results.
  • Always aim for the “Perfect” result in the shaping mini-game to receive the armor with the highest possible stats and rarity.

That concludes our list of all armors in The Forge. We will update it when the developers release new armors or make changes to the existing ones.
