Thus Burns the Dawn is a brand-new 5-star Light Cone in Honkai Star Rail, releasing in version 3.4. It is the signature Light Cone of the upcoming Chrysos Heir, Phainon, and will become available on the warp banners starting from July 2, 2025. Thus Burns the Dawn Stats and Unique Effect in Honkai Star Rail
As mentioned above, Thus Burns the Dawn is the signature 5-star Light Cone of Phainon in Honkai Star Rail and will become available on the first half gacha banners of version 3.4. It is a Destruction Light Cone that offers the following stats to its wielder when upgraded to level 80:
- HP: 952
- DEF: 687
- ATK: 396
The Light Cone effect of Thus Burns the Dawn is called Dispossession and provides the following benefits:
“The wearer’s base SPD increases by 12. When the wearer deals DMG, ignores 18% of the target’s DEF. After the wearer uses Ultimate, obtains “Blazing Sun,” which is removed at the start of their turn. While “Blazing Sun” is in possession, increases the wearer’s DMG dealt by 60%.”
This 5-star Light Cone can increase its wearer’s Speed, as well as their damage after casting their Ultimate ability. Additionally, it can ignore 18% of the enemy’s Defense to enable higher damage. However, it is important to note that these effects only work when the equipped character belongs to the Path of Destruction.

You can obtain Borisin Teeth, Lupitoxin Sawteeth, and Moon Rage Fang by partaking in the Bud of Destruction Crimson Calyx challenge at Scalegorge Waterscape in Xianzhou Luofu by using Trailblaze Power. Alternatively, it can be purchased from the Embers Exchange shop.
