Most Universal Towe Defense X players focus on units, relics, and game modes. But there is one system that quietly works in the background and makes everything else easier. If you have not looked into it yet, you are probably missing out more than you realize. Here is everything you need to know about Universal Tower Defense X Guild system.

What Is the Guild System in Universal Tower Defense X?

The Guild System is a co-op feature that lets you team up with other players to build and expand a shared Guild Base. Up to 50 players can be part of the same Guild at one time, all contributing resources toward upgrades that benefit the entire group.

There are three roles inside a Guild:

  • Owner - The one who has full control over the Guild and its upgrades.
  • Admin - The one who can help manage things like approving requests and allocating funds.
  • Member - Players in the guild can donate resources and take advantage of everything the Guild has unlocked.

How to Create a Guild in Universal Tower Defense X

Before you can start your own Guild, you need to clear two requirements:

  • You must be at least Level 50
  • You need 100,000 Gold in your pocket

Once you meet both, head to the lobby and tap the Guilds button on the HUD. The creation panel will open right away. From there, you fill in a few details about your Guild:

  1. Give it a name and a short description.
  2. Set the visibility to either Public or Private.
  3. You can also set a minimum level requirement for anyone who wants to join.
  4. Pick a custom tag that appears next to your members' names in-game and customize your Guild with artwork and an icon.
  5. Once everything looks good, hit the Create Guild button, and your Guild is live.

Your Guild can hold a maximum of 50 members, but the default cap is 20 when you first create it. To increase that limit, you spend Gems to unlock extra slots. Every additional slot costs 2,000 Gems, so getting to the full 50-member cap takes a significant Gem investment.

How to Join a Guild in Universal Tower Defense X

If you want to join an existing Guild instead of creating one, the process is straightforward:

  1. Open the Guilds panel in the lobby and switch to the Join tab.
  2. Browse the list, find a Guild that suits you, and either join directly or send a join request depending on whether the Guild is Public or Private.

For Private Guilds, your request needs to be approved by the Owner or an Admin before you get in. Once approved, you get immediate access to everything the Guild has unlocked.

Guild Treasury and Donations

The Guild Treasury is the engine that powers everything. Members donate resources to it, and the Owner or Admins use those funds to unlock and upgrade rooms in the Guild Base. Donations happen in fixed step amounts depending on the type of resource, so you cannot just donate any random number.

Guild Treasury
ResourceDonation Step
Gems500 per step (Min: 100)
Coins1,000 per step
Trait Rerolls1 per step
Relic Rerolls1 per step
Stat Rerolls1 per step
Stat Locks1 per step
Boundless Orb1 per step
Elemental Fragments (Frozen, Burning, Holy, Ocean, Petal, Phantom, Sky, Universal)1 per step
Etherealization Shards (Exclusive, Mythic, Secret)1 per step

Plan your donations around these increments, especially for Gems, since the minimum step is 500, but the minimum donation is 100.

Universal Tower Defense X Guild Base Rooms

Once your Treasury has enough resources, the Owner or Admin can start unlocking rooms in the Guild Base. There are five unlockable rooms beyond the default Guild Hall, and you can unlock them in any order.

1. Mining Room

The Mining Room is one of the best unlocks in the game because it generates passive resources around the clock. Any unit you assign here must have the Miner tag. Without it, nothing gets produced.

Unlocking the Mining Room costs 50,000 Gems, 250,000 Gold, 75 Relic Rerolls, and 25 Stat Locks. That is a big investment, but the room comes with the Gems Node already active, producing 16 Gems every 60 seconds. You can then unlock more nodes separately to add Gold, Stat Locks, Relic Rerolls, and Stat Rerolls to your passive income.

NodeUnlock CostProduction Rate
Gems Node (Room Unlock)• 50,000 Gems
• 250,000 Gold
• 75 Relic Rerolls
• 25 Stat Locks
16 Gems / 60s
Gold Node• 25,000 Gems
• 500,000 Gold
85 Gold / 60s
Stat Lock Node• 25,000 Gems
• 50 Stat Locks
1 Stat Lock / 30 min
Relic Reroll Node• 25,000 Gems
• 50 Relic Rerolls
1 Relic Reroll / 30 min
Stat Reroll Node• 25,000 Gems
• 75 Relic Rerolls
1 Stat Reroll / 30 min

When all five nodes are active at the same time, the Mining Room becomes an incredibly efficient passive resource machine for your whole Guild.

2. Leveling Chamber

If you have a roster full of units that still need XP, the Leveling Chamber is a lifesaver. You place units into incubators inside the room, and they passively earn XP at a rate of 0.5 XP per second, which works out to 30 XP per minute or 1,800 XP per hour.

The leveling stops automatically once a unit hits max level, which is Level 70 for standard units and Level 100 for Unrivaled or Boundless units.

Unlocking the room gives you one slot. You can expand it to six slots total, with each additional slot requiring its own upgrade from the Treasury.

SlotUnlock Cost
Slot 1 (Room Unlock)• 50,000 Gems
• 500,000 Gold
• 100 Trait Rerolls
Slots 2 to 6• 25,000 Gems
• 100,000 Gold
• 25 Trait Rerolls each

Having all six slots active means you can be leveling six units simultaneously without doing anything at all.

3. Gamemode Room

The Gamemode Room is a quality-of-life unlock that lets you launch any game mode directly from the Guild Base instead of heading back to the main lobby. The room itself costs 15,000 Gems and 150,000 Gold to unlock, and each pod inside has its own separate cost on top of that.

PodUnlock Cost
Story Pod• 2,500 Gems
• 25,000 Gold
Virtual Realm Pod• 2,500 Gems
• 15,000 Gold
Challenge Pod• 1,500 Gems
• 15,000 Gold
Raid Pod• 5,000 Gems
• 50,000 Gold
World Raid Pod• 2,500 Gems
• 25,000 Gold

The Challenge Pod is the cheapest individual pod to unlock, while the Raid Pod costs the most. Unlock the ones your Guild uses most often first.

4. Gamemode Shops Room

This room brings all of the Shop NPCs from the main lobby directly into your Guild Base. It costs 15,000 Gems and 50,000 Gold to unlock. Once it is open, you can access every game mode shop without ever leaving the Guild Base, which saves a lot of back-and-forth time.

5. Lounge Room

The Lounge Room does not offer any gameplay advantage, but it is a social space for your Guild members to hang out and relax between sessions. Think of it as the chill-out corner of your Guild Base.

Guild Leaderboard

On top of all the Base upgrades, there is a competitive side to the Guild System through the Guild Leaderboard. You can check it from inside the Guild Hall. Completing Leaderboard goals earns your Guild points, and the higher you climb, the better the rewards your whole team receives. It is a great incentive to keep everyone active and donating.

The Universal Tower Defense X Guild System is a great way to improve your progress in the game. With free resources from the Mining Room, easy leveling from the Leveling Chamber, and rewards from the Leaderboard, joining a Guild is always worth it. Find a Guild, start donating, and help your Guild Base grow.
