macOS is a well-built OS that checks most of the boxes for people. For instance, it has a sophisticated screenshot tool built-in, you can scan your computer with Spotlight, and many other things. However, there are plenty of features that are missing on macOS and that’s why we have utility apps. In this article, I’ll share my top picks of utility apps for Mac you didn’t know you needed. Let’s check those out.
1. Coconut Battery
Lithium batteries on your MacBook have a limited life and it would eventually degrade to a point where it needs replacement. You can eliminate that ambiguity with Coconut Battery. It’s a tiny utility app that calculates the life of Mac’s battery and shows important info such as cycle count, remaining battery capacity, etc. You can even check your iPhone’s battery by simply plugging the iPhone into your Mac. Here’s a guide on how to check your MacBook’s Battery Health.
