Cheer up, folks. Popular multiplayer shooter Valorant is coming to mobile devices. Four years after Riot Games announced Valorant Mobile, we finally have the first look at the game. Interestingly, it is being developed by Lightspeed Studios, the developer of PUBG Mobile. Here is everything you need to know about Valorant Mobile.

Valorant Mobile Pre-Registration Starts in China
Based on the gameplay video, Valorant Mobile looks the same as its PC counterparts. Although there is a major change in gameplay, as it relies on touchscreen controls. Similar to PUBG Mobile, most of these controls occupy a significant portion of the screen.

Given LightSpeed Studios’s experience with porting PUBG to mobile devices. It won’t be a surprise if Valorant Mobile sees similar success.
The rest of the gameplay looks pretty similar. You will notice the same characters and guns as in the PC version. With PUBG Mobile and COD Warzone skyrocketing in popularity, Valorant doesn’t want to be too far behind.
The fast-paced combat and abilities are what differentiate Valorant from the rest of the offerings. The team has worked on porting the complex gameplay mechanics to consoles.
With the release of Valorant on Xbox Series S/X and PlayStation 5 last year, the game has been adapted for controllers. So, porting it for a touchscreen setup shouldn’t be much of a problem.
How to Pre-Register for Valorant Mobile?
Valorant Mobile is currently available for pre-registration in China, and the developer has announced it will expand to other regions in the future. For those pre-registering, there are exclusive game rewards such as player cards.
The website is region-locked, so you will need to be in China to register for the game. Given that China is a massive market for mobile gamers, it’s no surprise that Riot Games wants a share of the pie.
There are new mobile-exclusive MVP animations at the end of the match, apart from a spectate option. Furthermore, you get different tutorials compared to the PC version, as well as mobile-exclusive maps and mobile-friendly abilities.
Last but not least, there will be a long-requested replay mode that will let you rewatch the match. This will let you contemplate your mistakes and think about what went wrong.
Maybe you can gloat over your victory by showing it to your friends. And as you progress through the game, you will also get progression rewards apart from cosmetic ones at launch.
The game is set to eventually release globally since Riot has the infrastructure in place, as it can use the same servers as Valorant PC. While there is no official release date, Riot has revealed that the next playtest is coming soon.
