VV Ultimatum is the new Bleach-inspired Roblox game that's been pulling in players fast, and it comes with a mix of PvE grinding, race progression, and open-world exploration. If you just started and feel a bit lost, this VV Ultimatum beginner's guide breaks down everything you need to know early on, from your first steps in the tutorial to unlocking special traversal skills like Air Walk.

1. Getting Through the Tutorial

When you first load in, you'll land in a tutorial area that walks you through the basics of movement and combat. It's pretty simple, so just follow the prompts. 

Near the end, you will run into a tutorial boss. Fighting it is completely optional. If you win, you get bumped up one extra level along with a few starter chests, but the rewards inside are nothing special. If you'd rather skip the fight and jump straight into the real game, that's a totally fine choice, too, since the reward isn't worth stressing over.

2. Choosing Your Faction and Clan

After the tutorial wraps up, you'll head into character creation, where you choose your faction: Quincy, Shinigami, or Hollow. Each one plays differently, so pick whichever playstyle sounds fun to you.

Quincy and Shinigami tend to be the friendlier picks if you're new, since both lean on straightforward utility and skill-based combat. Hollow is the harder route, built around consuming other Hollows to grow stronger, so it's better suited to players who already have a feel for how the game works.

On top of your faction, you'll also roll for a Clan, which locks in a passive stat bonus for your character.

3. Leveling Up Efficiently

The fastest way to gain levels in VV Ultimatum is by completing quests. You can easily find available quests by holding C, which reveals nearby quest markers on your map. 

Blue markers are quests you can currently do, while quests with higher requirements usually show up differently once you're strong enough. 

Make it a habit to check this constantly, since new quests keep appearing as you level and explore new areas. Grinding these quests back to back is way faster than fighting random enemies. Some players have gone from level 20 to 30 in around half an hour just by staying on top of their quest log.

4. Unlocking Your Race Ability

Once you hit level 25, you can start your race-specific progression, whether that's a Shikai, Resurrection, or a Schrift, depending on your faction.

Press L to begin meditating, and from there your progress builds up naturally as you defeat enemies, fight rival faction players, finish quests, and take part in world events. It's worth popping into the Skills menu every so often to check whether a new ability has opened up.

A little warning, though, this isn't a quick process. Many players don't finish unlocking their full ability until somewhere between level 50 and 60, since you will need to track down your inner self or fight a personal trail boss tied to your race.

If you want an easier grind, Quincy is generally seen as the simplest race to progress. If you're more interested in PvP, Hollow tends to stand out because of its unique trait system.

5. Doing Missions for Better Rewards

Missions work differently from regular quests. To start one, you need mission tickets, which drop from quests and enemies. Head to your faction's home base, like Las Noches for Hollows, and find the mission desk. 

Higher character levels and ranks unlock harder missions, which reward more experience and a shot at getting Hogyoku Shards, a valuable crafting material.

6. World Events

World events are worth prioritizing whenever they pop up, since they tend to hand out generous amounts of experience, progression points, and gear. Keep an eye out for Supply Caches, Raid Events, and Special World Encounters as you explore.

7. Collecting Spirit Charms and Hollow Traits

Chests around the map drop spirit charms, which are gear-like items that boost your build. These range from Tier 1 to Tier 5 and slot into node slots on your gear. The first three nodes come with no downside, but any node beyond that starts chipping away at your max health, and the penalty gets steeper with higher-tier charms.

If your loadout feels wrong, portals scattered around let you reset or swap charms out anytime, so don't be afraid to experiment once you understand what you're building toward.

Hollow players also get random Hollow trait options after defeating enemies, similar to picking perks. Things like movement speed boosts or extra stamina regen show up as choices, but you can only lock in a handful, so pick the ones that actually match your build.

8. Managing Modifier Stones and Equipment

Modifier Stones let you upgrade your existing gear instead of replacing it every time something new drops. Combined with upgrade materials, they boost stats like defense, posture, equipment load, damage, and max Reiatsu. You can earn them from quests, buy them with Spirit Tokens, or stumble onto them as random world drops.

9. Managing Your Inventory

Everything you loot or buy shows up in your Inventory menu, where you can swap armor pieces, slot in Spirit Charms, and fill your Misc. and Utility slots. These all play into your overall build, so it's worth checking in on your inventory regularly to make sure your stat boosts are maxed out.

10. Reaching the Marshlands and Tundra

To explore the Marsh biome, travel to Nibukai Village and talk to the NPC there to start a crafting quest for a Respirator. You'll need spare alloy for it, and skipping this step means dying almost instantly once you enter the Marsh. 

Once crafted, equip it and speak to the same NPC again to get teleported to the Marsh elevator, or just jump into the middle of the map from Soul Society for a shortcut. Deeper in the Marsh, you'll need to collect a piece of the Crocodile King, like its hide or scale, and hand it over to an NPC in Precipice to unlock the Tundra biome.

11. Getting the Air Walk Skill

Following your main questline eventually leads you to an NPC tied to the Air Walk ability, a skill that lets you fly and move across the map way faster once unlocked. You'll be sent through a couple of quests, including one that has you climbing a tall tower using some light parkour. 

It takes patience and a few careful jumps, but once you reach the top and talk to the right NPC at level 45 or higher, Air Walk unlocks across every character slot you own, not just your current one.
