To be the strongest in VV: Ultimatum, you need to understand how clans work. Clans are a feature of the Factions system that give your character stat boosts, which you will need to understand to build a perfect character. This guide breaks down every clan in VV: Ultimatum, what bonuses they offer, and which ones are actually worth going for.
What Are Clans in VV: Ultimatum
When you pick your Faction at the start of the game, Hollow, Shinigami, or Quincy, you're also locking yourself into a specific pool of clans. You can't be a Shinigami clan if you're playing as a Hollow, so your choices are always tied to your Faction.
To get a clan, you spend Clan Tokens on rerolls. Each reroll gives you a random clan from your Faction's pool. Tokens drop from enemies, show up in the daily rewards, or can be bought through game passes.
Clans come in four tiers:
- Legendary
- Rare
- Uncommon
- Common
The game has a pity system. After 100 rerolls without a Legendary, you're guaranteed to get one. So even if luck isn't on your side, you will eventually land something solid.

Which Clan Should You Go For?
Always try to aim for Legendary. Over a long session, the gap in bonuses between Legendary and Rare clans is pretty huge. Here's a quick breakdown by playstyle:
- Kido builds - Go for Aaroniero (Hollow), Kuchiki or Hitsugaya (Shinigami), or Haschwalth/Ishida (Quincy)
- Melee/Weapon builds - Kamamura (Shinigami) or Eisenhauer (Quincy) work well
- Speed/Mobility builds - Shihoin (Shinigami) or Kurosaki (Quincy) are your best bets
- Arrancar transformation builds - Cifer (Hollow) is almost mandatory
Keep rerolling until you land on a Legendary that fits your build. With the 100-reroll pity guarantee in place, it's just a matter of time.
