Top 8 Ways to Fix Alarms Not Going Off on Samsung Galaxy Phones

by Pankil Shah

Getting up in the morning can be challenging sometimes. If you’re like most people, you probably rely on the Clock app on your Samsung phone to set your alarms. But what if your set alarms just won’t go off or fail to make any sound? If you’re troubled by the same, this guide will share some tips for fixing the alarms not going off issue on your Samsung Galaxy phone. So, let’s take a look.

1. Check the Alarm Tone and Volume

This may seem obvious, but it’s still worth checking. Alarms on your Samsung phone may not fail to make any sound if the set alarm tone is unavailable or if the volume is muted. Hence, it’s the first thing you need to check.

1. Open the Clock app on your phone. In the Alarm tab, select the alarm that’s not going off.

2. Enable the toggle next to the Alarm sound

3. Next, tap on Alarm sound and check the set Ringtone.

Note: Your Samsung phone would require an internet connection to play an alarm tone from Spotify, so it’s best to choose from the available ringtones.

2. Check the Alert Settings in the Clock App

Another reason why the alarm sound on your Samsung phone may not work is if your phone is set to Mute or Vibrate. Thankfully, the Samsung Clock app gives you the option to play alarm sounds even when the system sound turned is off. Here’s how to enable it.

1. Open the Clock app. Tap the kebab menu (three dots) in the top right corner and select Settings

3. Allow the Clock App to Set Alarms & Reminders

On One UI, apps need to obtain your permission in order to set alarms and reminders. If you’ve previously disabled this permission for the Clock app, your set alarms will not work. Here’s what you can do to fix it.

1. Long press on the Clock app icon and tap the info icon from the menu that appears.
