Grand Theft Auto 6 has officially released its second trailer two weeks ago, revealing that the highly anticipated title will launch in 2026. However, that’s not the only thing sparking discussion among gamers. Recent leaks show a screenshot from the game featuring what appears to be a child-like figure, raising a single question: Will GTA 6 include children?

If you’ve been following GTA 6 news, you’ve probably seen the blurry screenshots making the rounds online since May 2025. Tweeted by TheGTAVerse on X, this screenshot shows what appears to be Leonida Keys or Grassriver’s waterfront area, which features restaurants, bars, and a living area with outdoor decks. Sitting in the outdoor area are smaller figures that many believe are children. This picture shows Rockstar’s incredible attention to detail in recreating a Miami-inspired coastal paradise.

While we can’t confirm if these leaks are real, they match Rockstar’s history of pushing boundaries with each new release. GTA V gave us a deeper, more realistic world, and including children would be another step toward creating a truly lifelike city, and of course, controversy.

Rockstar has always kept children out of GTA games for obvious reasons. The series is known for letting you cause chaos and violence, from wild car chases to street fights, and including children would create serious ethical issues. Previous games stuck to adult NPCs to avoid concerns about harm to child characters.

GTA games already have a Mature 17+ ESRB rating due to their adult themes. Including children could trigger even stricter ratings or draw backlash from parents and regulators, especially considering the franchise’s history of controversy.

Will GTA 6 Include Children? What This Controversial Addition Could Mean

It’s very unlikely that GTA 6 will include children in the game. But if they do show up, the only way to add them without causing major issues would be to make them invincible. The problem is, it would feel fake and out of place, especially since GTA 6 seems to be going for a more real and immersive style.

Perhaps, just maybe, children could appear in cutscenes or in non-violent areas, strictly for story development. Beyond that, there doesn’t seem to be a fitting or responsible way to include children in the world of GTA. Whether these leaks prove accurate or not, one thing is certain: Rockstar continues to push the boundaries of what open-world games can be. As we wait for GTA 6’s release, the possibility of a more complete and realistic Vice City has players more excited than ever.
