Wizard Alchemy is one of those Roblox games that looks simple when you first load in, but has a lot going on underneath. After the short tutorial wraps up, the game basically drops you into the world without much direction, and a lot of new players end up wasting time doing things that do not actually help them progress. This Wizard Alchemy beginner guide covers everything you need to know to get off to a strong start.
Understanding the Core Loop
The basic gameplay loop in Wizard Alchemy revolves around three things: killing enemies to get materials, using those materials to craft potions, and then equipping those potions as spells to deal more damage. The better your potions, the faster you kill enemies, the better materials you get, and so on. Everything in the game feeds into this cycle, so understanding it early makes a huge difference.
One thing a lot of new players miss is that you gain XP just by using your abilities, even if you do not hit anything. This means you can spam your spells in an empty area and still level up, which is useful to know when you are waiting for enemies to respawn or just need to grind levels quickly.

Your First Priority: Stats and Wands
When you start getting stat points from leveling up, the recommended approach is to put 14 points into Attack first and then invest the rest into Cooldown Reduction. Attack lets you one-shot easier enemies, which speeds up your farming significantly, and CDR lets you cast spells more frequently, which means more damage and more XP per minute. Movement Speed is fine for getting around the map faster, but does not contribute much to actual combat progress.
Do not stress too much about your stat choices early on since you can reset your points for free at any time with no cooldown beyond a short wait, so feel free to experiment.

For wands, upgrade as soon as you can afford to. There are also two hidden wands worth knowing about once you have some gold saved up:
| Wand Name | Stats | Location |
|---|---|---|
![]() Ice Star Wand | • Attack: 40 • Attack Boost: 20% • Cooling Reduction: 50 | Found behind a waterfall |
![]() Ember Staff | • Attack: 44 • Attack Boost: 20% • Crit Rate: 30% | Located at the top of the great world tree |
Crafting Potions and Purity
The crafting table is where your materials turn into spells. When you add materials to the cauldron, each one has a magic rating, and the higher your total magic, the better your chances of getting a stronger potion. Early on, just use whatever you have, but once you start getting better drops, start saving them for more targeted recipes.
The miniame during brewing has a stirring section that directly affects purity, which strengthens your potion. Try to hit perfect on each stir to reach 100% purity.

Best Farming Spots
Where you farm matters a lot in Wizard Alchemy. Here are the main monsters worth farming:
- Knife Goblins: the best early to mid-game farming spot.
- Golden Egg
- Mutant Warhammer Dwarf
Chests also spawn around the map every few hours and give decent early-game materials. If you join a fresh server, the chests will already be reset, so server hopping is a valid strategy for collecting chest loot quickly.

Quests and Ascension
Pick up quests from the bounty board near spawn and from NPCs scattered around the map. These give you gold and sometimes materials that are hard to farm otherwise.
Ascension is how you raise your level cap and increase your XP gain. You need both gold and a certain amount of XP to ascend, and in the early game, gold is usually the limiting factor. Prioritize spending gold on ascensions over gear upgrades since the stat and level cap increases make a bigger difference to your overall power than a slightly better hat or robe early on.
