Brewing Potions is the core gameplay mechanic in Roblox’s Wizard Alchemy. Every Potion you craft gives you access to different spells. You can use these spells to attack the enemies or defend yourself. Each Potion requires a certain Magic Score, and using the right amount of Materials is key to brewing the perfect one. In this article, I have compiled a list of all the potions and what Materials you require to brew them.

How To Brew Potions in Wizard Alchemy
Brewing Potions in Wizard Alchemy is more than simply throwing Materials into a cauldron. The process consists of four different stages, and your performance in each stage affects the final quality and purity of the Potion.
Each Material has its own Magic Score, and the total score of your ingredients determines which Potions you have a chance of obtaining. In general, using Materials with higher Magic Scores increases your chances of brewing rarer Potions. Here is the explanation of all stages:
Stage 1 - Placing Materials

The first step is selecting the Materials you want to use for brewing. You can place three to five Materials into the cauldron. The total Magic Score of these Materials determines the pool of Potions that can be brewed.
If your Magic Score is too low, you will only be able to obtain Common Potions. Higher Magic Scores mean higher chances of brewing Rare, Epic, and Legendary Potions. You can also place Elemental Shards to increase the chance of obtaining Potions of a specific element.
Stage 2 - Grinding

After placing your Materials, the Grinding minigame begins. A slider will appear on your screen with a movable circle within it. Your goal is to drag the circle to the end of the slider before time runs out. The closer you get to the end, the better your grinding quality will be.
Stage 3 - Pouring

The Pouring stage is one of the most important parts of the brewing process. During the pouring minigame, a bar will appear on the left with a green mark indicating the optimal amount of mixture you must pour. Your goal is to click and hold the Pour button near the bar and leave when the meter reaches the green mark.
Pouring too little or too much will reduce your Potion's quality. This stage has a direct impact on the rarity of the Potion you receive. Landing inside the green zone consistently gives you the best chance of obtaining higher-rarity Potions.
Stage 4 - Stirring

The final stage is stirring. During this stage, you must stir the mixture according to the on-screen instructions. Your accuracy determines the Potion's purity. Unlike the previous stages, stirring primarily affects Potion Purity rather than rarity. Higher-purity potions perform better and are generally more valuable than lower-purity versions.
During the stirring minigame, two things appear: a slider like in the grinding stage, and circles. When the slider appears, you must drag the circle inside it to the slider's end. Note that the slider will disappear in a few seconds. So, you must be prompt and drag the slider right when it appears.
Next, you will also see a "stir" circle with an outer circle, slowly collapsing into it. Click on the "stir" circle when the outer circle perfectly overlaps with it for a "perfect stir". If you successfully achieve a "perfect stir" every time, you'll receive a potion with 100% purity.
New Alchemy System Changes in Wizard Alchemy
One of the most frustrating things to happen in Wizard Alchemy is losing rare Materials to a low-level Potion. Thankfully, the developers have completely reworked the Alchemy system to make brewing Potions less dependent on luck and give players more control over the results they obtain. Materials can now be reused in certain situations, and specific Materials can be used to target specific Potions more reliably. Below, you can find the details of these changes.
Material Consumption Changes
I can now brew a high-level Potion without the risk of losing certain Materials. One of the biggest changes is that Materials are no longer always consumed during the brewing process. A Material will only be consumed if the Potion you brew is of the same rarity or a higher rarity than that Material. For example, if you brew a Potion using:
- 2 Legendary Materials
- 1 Epic Material
- 1 Rare Material
- 1 Uncommon Material
and the result is a Rare Potion:
- The Rare Material will be consumed.
- The Uncommon Material will be consumed.
- The Legendary and Epic Materials will be returned to your inventory.
This change makes it much safer to experiment with high-rarity Materials while searching for specific Potions. Alongside these changes, stacking a specific Material will increase your chances of obtaining a specific Potion. Meaning, if you select five Lava Behemoth Remains, you are more likely to receive the Solar Flare Potion or the Molten Core Potion.
That is all for Potions in Wizard Alchemy. Make sure to check out the full Wizard Alchemy Wiki to learn more about Materials and how to obtain them. You can also view the Wizard Alchemy event countdown to stay updated on upcoming updates and releases.
