Gold is one of the most important resources in Wizard Alchemy. You need it for brooms, wands, ascensions, stat improvements, and pretty much every progression system in the game. A lot of new players struggle early because they spend time on inefficient methods without realizing there are much faster ways to build up their balance. Here are the best approaches to earn gold in Wizard Alchemy right now.
Complete Quests First
Quests are the most reliable gold source in the early game and should always be your priority when logging in. There are two main types worth knowing about. The Harryint quest board near spawn gives you multiple repeatable quests at different difficulty levels. Always have at least one quest active while you are farming because you will complete most of them naturally just by playing.
The second type are the world quest NPCs scattered around the map that most players walk straight past. These are some of the best gold sources in the game for beginners.
Sell Items You Do Not Need
As you craft potions, you will naturally end up with duplicates and leftover materials. Rather than letting them pile up and eat into your limited inventory space, sell them to Lombart at spawn. Base potions sell individually for decent amounts, and materials you are not planning to use for crafting are better converted into gold than left sitting in your bag.

Farm Monsters Consistently
Every enemy in the game drops gold on death, and while individual drops seem small, they add up quickly when you are killing efficiently. Pickaxe dwarves drop around five gold each, while knife goblins drop around seven. Farming these monsters continuously gives you gold. As your build gets stronger, moving into harder areas gives noticeably better gold per kill.

Open Chests Around the Map
Chests spawn at fixed locations across the map and respawn after a set amount of time. They drop gold directly alongside materials, and some spawn as tier two chests, which can give epic and legendary materials on top of the regular loot. If you are doing a farming route anyway, looping past known chest locations adds up over time without requiring any extra effort. Joining a fresh server also resets all chest spawns instantly, which is useful if you want to do a quick chest run without waiting.

Best Strategy Overall
The fastest way to build gold is to combine all of these methods rather than focusing on just one. Do your quest board quests, pick up world NPC quests as you find them, farm knife goblins between objectives, and open every chest you pass. Ascend as soon as you can afford it, since the stat and level cap improvements make every other farming method more efficient going forward. For more guides, check out our Wizard Alchemy wiki.
