Cartethyia will finally debut as a playable character in the Wuthering Waves 2.4 update, releasing on June 12, 2025. She is an important character from Rinascita who wields the powers of the Aero attribute and uses a Sword in combat. Many players are looking forward to summoning her from her limited-time convene banner and may wish to learn more about her ascension materials.
On that note, this article lists all materials required to fully level up and upgrade Cartethyia in Wuthering Waves.
Wuthering Waves Cartethyia Ascension and Forte Level-up Materials
To level up Cartethyia to the maximum of Rank 6 in Wuthering Waves, players will need the following ascension materials:
- Bamboo Iris x 60
- Unfading Glory x 46
- LF Tidal Residuum x 4
- MF Tidal Residuum x 12
- HF Tidal Residuum x 12
- FF Tidal Residuum x 4
- Shell Credits x 170,000
Additionally, to fully max out Cartethyia’s Forte skills, Rovers will need the following items:
- LF Tidal Residuum x 25
- MF Tidal Residuum x 28
- HF Tidal Residuum x 40

Where to Farm Cartethyia’s Ascension and Forte Materials
LF, MF, HF, and FF Tidal Residuum
The Tidal Residuum is a common material that drops after defeating Tacet Discords affected by the Dark Tide found in Rinascita. Alternatively, it can be obtained as an additional reward from Rinascita’s Forgery Challenge domains and purchased from the Oscillated Coral shop.
Inert, Reactive, Polarized, and Heterized Metallic Drip
The Inert Metallic Drip and its other rarities are Forte skill level-up materials that are required for Sword characters in WuWa. Players can farm them at the Garden of Salvation and Flaming Remnants Forgery Challenge domains, located in Rinascita and Huanglong, in exchange for Waveplates.
When Irises Bloom
When Irises Bloom is a weekly boss material that can be obtained by defeating the new boss monster, Fleurdelys, at the Avinoleum. Players can unlock the challenge after they complete Chapter 2, Act 4 of the storyline.
Unfading Glory
Unfading Glory is a new world boss material that players can collect by defeating the Lioness of Glory monster, located within the ancient arena in the Septimont region.
Bamboo Iris
Players will need the new Rinascita local specialty, called Bamboo Iris, to ascend Cartethyia, which they can find in the new Septimont region.
