In a surprise move, Microsoft and Amazon have joined hands and entered into a partnership, much to the gamers’ rejoice. The Xbox TV app is not limited to Samsung smart TVs anymore. It is coming to Fire TV devices.

What You Must Know

Xbox Cloud Gaming costs $15 per month, giving you access to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. Subscribers can now stream their games directly to any TV that is using a Fire TV Stick. You don’t need an Xbox console anymore.

Currently, only Fire TV Stick 4K Max and Fire TV Stick 4K models are supported, and 25 countries are whitelisted at launch.

What Is Xbox Cloud Gaming

Xbox Cloud Gaming, formerly called Project xCloud, is a cloud gaming service that allows users to stream and play Xbox games without needing an Xbox console or gaming PC. So, how do you stream on your smart TV?

Previously, you would need either a fancy Samsung smart TV that supports the Xbox TV app or an Xbox console to stream games on TV. However, with the partnership in place, you can stream Xbox Cloud games to TV using Fire TV Stick directly. No need to shell out money for consoles, gaming PCs, or expensive Samsung TVs.
