The Xiaomi Pad 6 launched over a year ago, followed by the Pad 6 Pro earlier this year. The brand is now gearing up to launch the next iteration of its Android tablets—Xiaomi Pad 7 and Xiaomi Pad 7 Pro. Although leaks have been circulating for several months, new information has recently surfaced, revealing some key specifications and features of the upcoming Pad 7. Here’s everything we know so far.

Larger Display with Fast Refresh Rate
According to the latest leak on Weibo, the Xiaomi Pad 7 series is expected to feature an 11.16-inch display, slightly larger than the 11-inch 2K screen on its predecessor, the Xiaomi Pad 6, and will support a 144Hz refresh rate. The Xiaomi Pad 6S Pro still holds the title for the largest screen size at 12.4 inches.
Both tablets in the series are said to come with LCD screens. Earlier rumors hinted at OLED displays for the Pad 7, but those speculations have faded as the launch approaches.
Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 and 7+ Gen 3 Processors

The Xiaomi Pad 7 is reportedly powered by the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 processor, compared to the Snapdragon 870 in its predecessor. It’s an octa-core SoC built on a 4nm process, featuring one prime X4 core clocked at up to 2.8GHz, four performance Cortex-A720 cores at up to 2.6GHz, and three efficiency Cortex-A520 cores at up to 1.9GHz.
It comes with an Adreno 732 GPU and supports LPDDR5x RAM as well as UFS 4.0 storage. Additionally, it offers support for the latest Wi-Fi 7.
On the other hand, the Xiaomi Pad 7 Pro will feature the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processor. This is also a 4nm octa-core chip but with a more powerful configuration. It includes one prime Cortex-X4 core clocked at up to 3.0GHz, four Cortex-A720 cores at 2.8GHz, and three Cortex-A520 cores at 2.0GHz.
The chipset is paired with an Adreno 735 GPU and also supports Wi-Fi 7.
To avoid confusion with Qualcomm’s naming scheme, it’s important to note that the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 is actually less powerful than the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 on Xiaomi Pad 6S Pro.
Faster Charging Speeds

The Xiaomi Pad 7 is said to support 45W fast charging, while the Xiaomi Pad 7 Pro will offer 67W fast charging. For reference, the Xiaomi Pad 6 only supported 33W charging, which took about an hour and 45 minutes for a full charge.
However, it’s unclear whether these devices will support PD (Power Delivery) charging. Previously, the Xiaomi Pad 6 used QuickCharge 4 and shipped with a USB-A charger, so we expect that trend to continue.
On the other hand, the Xiaomi Pad 6S Pro still stands out with its impressive 120W charging speed. And yes, they do include a charger in the box, which is a bonus.
Release Date and Other Specifications Yet to Be Known
As of now, we don’t have information on when the Xiaomi Pad 7 will be released or its other specifications. However, the tablet is expected to resemble the Xiaomi Pad 6S Pro in various aspects. It’s important to note that these models are not intended to replace the Pad 6S Pro but rather the older Xiaomi Pad 6 and 6 Pro lineup.
The Pad 7 and Pad 7 Pro could potentially be announced alongside the launch of the Xiaomi 15 and 15 Pro later this month or possibly next year. We anticipate that the tablets will be priced aggressively, just like last year’s models, potentially undercutting the OnePlus Pad 2 (review) which launched recently.
