Google has been trying to leave its mark in the AI race ever since ChatGPT and Copilot stepped up their game. One way is to integrate Gemini into other Google products and services, such as Pixel phones, Google Search, and Google Workspace. In fact, in a few years, we may even see Google Assistant completely replaced by Gemini. Google has now brought Gemini right into Chrome’s search bar making it easier to access.
Previously, Gemini was accessible from websites and mobile apps. You can now ask Gemini questions just like you ask Google Search questions directly from the Chrome address bar. Here’s how:
- Type @ in the address/search bar and select the Chat with Gemini option. If it doesn’t show up, you can manually type @gemini and hit the Tab key.
- Write your prompt and hit Enter.
- It will redirect you to gemini.google.com with a response to your prompt.
Apart from Chrome, Google highlighted all the cool Gemini AI features in the Pixel 9 series. In fact, some of the Pixel-exclusive features like Gemini Live, Weather, and Screenshots app, can be used on any Android phone.
