Editorial Guidelines

Editorial Philosophy and Tone

At TechWiser, we bridge the gap between complex tech and the end user. Our tone is that of a
knowledgeable friend - approachable, honest, and focused on solutions.

  • Be Direct: Skip the "fluff." Readers come to us for answers. Start with the solution, not the
    history of the internet.
  • Clarity Over Jargon: Explain technical terms (e.g., "RTX," "Latency," "BIOS") if they aren't
common knowledge for a casual user.
  • Evidence-Based: Every claim, especially in gaming hardware or software troubleshooting,
must be backed by internal testing or reputable sources.

We have strong internal documents that define our editorial guidelines and content philosophy for writers - both in-house and remote.

Content Standards and Guidelines

  • Reviews and Opinions: All hardware products, software and apps, and games must be used, tried, and tested for at least a few days, somtimes more. All recommendations and opinions are, to the best of our knowledge, accurate and based on our research and experience.
  • Tech and Gaming News: All stories must be cited from official, verifiable, authentic, and trustworthy sources.
  • How-to Guides and Troubleshooters: We try to recreate the problem to the best of our ability. The writers creating these guides are experts on these topics and verify everything before writing such content.
  • News and Stories: All news and stories are sourced by our team independently or from official, trusted, verifiable, and reputable sources only.

Note: If the content is speculative or a rumor based on research or experience, we clearly mention this fact in the title, summary, and content.

Ethics, AI, and Integrity

In an era of AI-generated content, TechWiser stands for Human-Verified Expertise. This is why we hire and employ full-time in-house and remote writers and experts on various topics.

  • Generative Text: We do not publish raw AI-generated articles. AI may be used for brainstorming ideas, research, or structure, but the final copy must be human-written and human-verified. Always.
  • Zero-Tolerance Policy: We do not tolerate AI-generated or plagiarized content on TechWiser. Writers are given strict instructions to write content manually from experience, research, and knowledge.
  • Fact-Checking: Every piece of content published on TechWiser is fact-checked by in-house editors and, to the best of our knowledge, is accurate.
  • Updates: We encourage writers to update old content to keep it fresh and up-to-date with the latest available information.
