Atlus West has confirmed that Persona 5's Joker is joining Fortnite, arriving alongside the game's next season, Chapter 7 Season 4 Override, on August 20th. Here's everything known so far about the Persona 5 Joker skin in Fortnite.
Persona 5 Joker Skin Release Date in Fortnite
Persona 5 Joker skin was first leaked last month and is now confirmed to release alongside the start of Chapter 7 Season 4, on August 20th, 2026. The exact release time has not yet been confirmed, but based on the previous updates, you can expect it to be at this time:
| Time Zone | Date and Time |
|---|---|
| PT (Pacific) | Thursday, August 20 - 7:00 PM |
| ET (Eastern) | Thursday, August 20 - 11:00 PM |
| CET (Central Europe) | Friday, August 21 - 4:00 AM |
| IST (India) | Friday, August 21 - 7:30 AM |
| JST (Japan) | Friday, August 21 - 11:00 AM |
| AEST (Australia) | Friday, August 21 - 12:00 PM |
The reveal followed the same ARG pattern Epic has used before. Since August 10, Fortnite's Discord has run a glitched-text cryptogram tied to Override, inviting players to enter lobby-hack codes. Entering "TakeYourHeart", a reference to the Phantom Thieves' calling card from Persona 5, unlocked a teaser clip of Joker's in-game model ahead of today's trailer.
What's Included in Fortnite's Persona 5 Joker Skin Bundle
Here are the items that might be included in the bundle if the Joker skin drops in the Item Shop. Skins in Fortnite usually cost 1,500 V-Bucks, and the other cosmetic items are around 400-800 V-Bucks.

| Cosmetic Name | Image | Cost |
|---|---|---|
| Joker Outfit | TBA | 1,500 V-Bucks |
| Joker Pickaxe | TBA | 800 V-Bucks |
| Joker Back Bling | TBA | 400 V-Bucks |
Joker is currently the only confirmed Persona 5 character coming to Fortnite. It's not yet known whether other Phantom Thieves members, like Morgana, Ann Takamaki, or Ryuji Sakamoto, will join him, or whether the crossover includes a Persona-themed Mythic weapon or point of interest.

How to Get Persona 5 Joker in Fortnite
There's no announced method for unlocking Joker through an outside purchase, and no ARG-based free unlock has been detailed beyond the teaser clip itself.
Whether Joker ends up in the Item Shop at all is still unclear. Epic hasn't said if he'll be sold separately or placed in the Override Battle Pass instead. Earlier datamined files pointed toward a Battle Pass inclusion, and the ARG reveal lines up with that theory, but nothing is locked in.
For reference, the Override Battle Pass is expected to cost 800 V-Bucks, while past Gaming Legends Series skins sold individually have typically run 1,500 to 2,000 V-Bucks. If Joker is dropping in the game, are you going to cop his skin?
