Right now, there is one Sprite in Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 3 that almost nobody has, and the people who do have it are guarding it like gold. If you've been opening Sprite Chest after Sprite Chest hoping it pops out, I've got some bad news and some good news. Let me walk you through exactly what's going on, why this new Pollo Sprite in Fortnite is hard to get today, and how you can grab one before everyone else does.
What Is the Pollo Sprite in Fortnite?
The Pollo Sprite is a Mythic-rarity companion named after Miguel "Pollo" Moreno, a Team Falcons pro and multi-time FNCS champion who a lot of people call one of the best competitive Fortnite players alive. So, with this Sprite, Epic basically turned a real esports legend into a collectible, which is a big part of why the community went nuts over it.

It actually landed in the game with the v41.20 update, but here's what made it so wild: it didn't just show up in the loot pool like a normal Sprite. For the first few days, the only person on the planet who had it was Pollo himself. That's about as rare as a cosmetic gets in this game.
How to Get the Pollo Sprite in Fortnite
This is the Pollo Sprite's ability. When you get an elimination, the Pollo Sprite slowly refills your shield and nearby squad members for a set time. The higher you master it, the longer that shield regen lasts.
As of right now, the Pollo Sprite does not drop from chests, Sprite Chests, or anywhere in the battle royale island. There are only two ways to get your hands on one:
- Eliminate Miguel "Pollo" Moreno in the game.
- Eliminate a player who has it equipped.
- Trade for it with someone who already owns one.
It actually all started on July 18th, when Pollo began handing his Sprite out during his livestream. Beat him in a match that day, and it was yours. From there, it spread player to player, and it's slowly trickled through the community ever since, mostly among the top-tier players who could actually take it off him.
However, what I actually feel is that this Sprite works much better in squads than in solo matches. The shield only activates after you get an elimination and also protects nearby teammates. Solo players won't get as much value from it. Still, it's great for collection, and you can also obtain it to help complete the 17 Sprites collection you need to master to get the Sprite Locater Gizmo.
When Does the Pollo Sprite Enter the Loot Pool?
Here's the good news I promised earlier. On Thursday, July 23rd, 2026, during Fortnite's Sprite weekly events, New Sprite Thursdays, the Pollo Sprite officially enters the normal loot pool. Once that happens, you'll be able to pull it from Rare Chests and Sprite Chests like any other Sprite.

It's also been reported that Pollo will be a possible drop from the Sprite Locator chests at around a 1.01% chance, though that hasn't been switched on yet. And because new Sprites stick around for the rest of the Season, there's no rush once it's live. You can grab it whenever you want.
If you'd rather keep it chill, just log in Thursday and let the chests do the work. Good luck out there, and happy Sprite hunting.
