Skill points in Forza Horizon 6 are one of the most valuable currencies, and most players do not realise just how important they are until they are deep into the game. Every car has its own Car Mastery tree, and spending skill points on those trees unlocks everything from XP boosts to wheel spins, super wheel spins, and direct credit payouts.
Some Forza Edition cars have instant rewards of 250,000 credits or more sitting in their mastery trees, all locked behind skill points. The faster you farm them, the faster you unlock those rewards across every car in your garage. Here is everything you need to know to farm skill points in Forza Horizon 6.
Best Cars for Skill Point Farming
The two standout options are the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution 3 GSR and the Subaru Impreza 22B-STi Version 1998, and both are worth knowing about.
The Mitsubishi Lancer Evo 3 is a treasure car, meaning it is free for everyone to pick up on the map. Its Car Mastery tree includes a 2.5x faster skill point generation perk and a skill multiplier that goes up to 9x, making it one of the most efficient skill farming vehicles in the game without spending a single credit. It is not the fastest car, which actually works in its favor since spinning out constantly breaks your skill chain.
The Subaru Impreza 22B is another excellent option. Its mastery tree also unlocks a 9x skill multiplier. Once unlocked, it performs similarly to the Lancer for farming purposes and is particularly good for open area drifting given its handling characteristics.
Method 1: EventLab Skill Farming Courses
The quickest method for most players is using a dedicated EventLab skill farming course found through the Creative Hub. These are custom events built specifically for skill point farming, usually consisting of a short circuit lined with destructible props that you smash through at speed. To find one, go to your options menu, open the Creative Hub tab, and select Play Event. Once you finish a run, simply press restart and the props reset instantly, letting you chain run after run together with no downtime.

Method 2: Estate Farming
The estate method is the most controlled and risk-free option available. Once you have unlocked the Yashiki House and have access to estates, you can download a community estate blueprint designed specifically for skill farming.
Once inside the estate, drive through all the props at full speed to build your skill score. The key advantage here is that there is no traffic, no non-destructible obstacles, and no risk of breaking your chain unexpectedly. When the run is done, simply fast-travel back to the estate and all the props reset immediately. You can repeat this indefinitely with zero loading friction.

Method 3: Open World Farming Locations
If you prefer staying in the open world, certain locations across Japan are significantly better for skill farming than others. The best spots share a few qualities: large open areas for drifting, dense clusters of destructible trees (easter eggs), and minimal traffic to interrupt your chain.
The most recommended locations are:
- Ito Airfield near the Minamino region
- Shimanoyama Stadium and the farmlands heading south
- Sotoyama in the north
When farming in the open world, staying away from roads with active traffic is important. Colliding with another car or a non-destructible object immediately breaks your skill chain and resets your multiplier.
Keep your radio on while farming. Certain radio stations occasionally play Skill Songs, which add an extra 2x multiplier to your current run, effectively pushing a 5x multiplier up to the cap. The radio announcer will mention when a Skill Song is coming. It is a passive bonus that costs nothing and can shave time off each farming session when it triggers at the right moment.
