Forza Horizon 6 Garage Customization Guide

In any good racing game, one of the best features to have is your own garage where you can show off your favorite cars, and Forza Horizon 6 lets you do exactly that with lots of customization options. The garage system allows you to decorate, create themes, and showcase your personal space to the community. This guide covers everything you need to know about Forza Horizon 6 garage customization.

How Many Garages You Can Have?

With eight houses available in the game, including Mei’s (check character breakdown) starter house, you’ll have access to eight separate garages to customize. Each one can be designed into something unique, and if other players enjoy your creations, you can even earn Credits from them.

How to Access Garage Customization in Forza Horizon 6

To access the garage customization in Forza Horizon 6, head over to any house you own and look for the Customizable Garage tab at the top of the menu. Once you're in, you'll see a few different options to choose from:

The option you’ll use the most is Customize Garage. When you select it, you can freely move the camera around your garage and place props anywhere you want. There are plenty of props to choose from, but you’ll need enough Credits to buy them and enough free space since there’s a prop limit.

If you change your mind about a prop, you can simply select it and remove it. Or, if you want to start completely fresh, go to Browse & Manage and choose Empty My Garage. This removes all props at once, so you don’t have to delete them one by one.

Community Garages

Not everyone wants to spend time placing props from scratch, and that's totally fine. Forza Horizon 6 has a great community sharing system that lets you download garage layouts made by other players.

Just keep in mind that applying a downloaded layout costs Credits. The price is shown in the bottom left corner when you select a layout. Some designs can run close to 50,000 Credits or more, so check the cost before you commit. Also, if you don't have enough display car slots, certain layouts won't work, so that's something to be aware of before spending.

How to Share Your Garage in Forza Horizon 6

Sharing your garage with the community can be a decent passive income. Every time someone downloads and applies your garage layout, you earn Credits automatically. Here's how to share your garage:

Your garage will be marked as shared, and you'll see a visual indicator above the layout name confirming it. If you ever want to pull it back, you can unshare it the same way.

How to Display Cars in Forza Horizon 6

The more options are worth knowing about. The Display Cars feature lets you choose which cars from your collection appear inside the garage. This way, you can personally choose which car visitors see when they walk in.

On top of that, you can control who gets to visit your garage. The Visitor Permission toggle lets you switch between open and closed. Set it to open if you want other players to come check out your setup. Close it off if you'd rather keep it private.

Garage customization in Forza Horizon 6 is a fun feature if you enjoy being creative and sharing your designs with the community. Even if that’s not your main focus, it’s still worth spending time on since your garage is one of the few spaces in the game that you can fully make your own.
