The UFO Invasion has arrived in Steal an Egg. You can participate in the regular UFO event every 30 minutes to collect UFO Debris and exchange it for the Abducted Mutation Shards. However, there's also a secret quest that lets you enter a Rare UFO and unlock an exclusive weapon. If you're unsure how to get started, here's everything you need to know about event.
How to Start the UFO Invasion Quest in Steal an Egg
Before participating in the UFO Invasion Event in Steal an Egg, you must find Paranoid Pete and complete his initial quest. Follow these steps to get started:
Step 1: Find Paranoid Pete
Look for Paranoid Pete near the Trails stand and interact with him to start the quest. He will ask you to repair the Signal Decoder, which can detect UFOs.
Step 2: Solve the Puzzle
Interact with the table near Paranoid Pete to complete a quick puzzle. You must connect the power lines to the Signal Tracker to turn it on. Each player gets a different tile puzzle, so there is no fixed solution. Connect the tiles correctly to complete it.
Step 3: Get the Signal Decoder
Once you unlock the computer, you will receive the Signal Decoder. You can use this device to track down UFOs during the UFO Invasion Event in Steal an Egg.

A UFO appears somewhere on the map every 30 minutes during the UFO Invasion Event in Steal an Egg. Keep in mind that UFOs can also spawn randomly, but an event is guaranteed to occur every 30 minutes. You can use your Signal Decoder to track down the UFO and complete the Steal an Egg UFO Invasion event.
Follow these steps:
- Once the event begins, use your Signal Decoder to find the UFO on the map.
- Find three eggs with the Abducted effect.
- Take all three eggs to the UFO to complete the event.
- Once you complete the event, you will receive UFO Debris as a reward.
How to Get the Abducted Mutation
After collecting UFO Debris, return to Paranoid Pete and exchange it for the new Abducted Mutation consumable. You can use this consumable to apply the Abducted Mutation to your eggs. However, it only has a 15% chance of success.
The Abducted Mutation consumable costs 500 UFO Debris. Make sure to stock up on UFO Debris if you want to apply this mutation to multiple eggs.
How to Find Rare UFOs in Steal an Egg
Apart from the regular UFO event, you can also encounter a Rare UFO. These special encounters let you sneak aboard an alien ship and explore what's inside.
Rare UFOs have a 10% chance of appearing during a regular UFO event. To improve your chances of finding one, keep an eye on the official Steal an Egg Discord server, particularly the general chat. Players often announce when a Rare UFO appears, allowing you to join their server and participate in the encounter.
How to Get Alien Staff in the Steal an Egg UFO Invasion Event
Once you find a Rare UFO during the Invasion event in Steal an Egg, you can enter the ship and obtain the Alien Staff weapon. When the Rare UFO appears, walk into its tractor beam to get teleported inside the ship. Once inside, look for the capsules attached to the walls. These contain eggs and shards. Destroy the capsules to collect their contents, including additional UFO Debris.
Next, look for the locked vault. You will need a secret code to unlock the vault. The code is 4827, which you can also find written on a sticky note inside the room. Enter the code into the keypad to open the vault and claim your limited Alien Staff weapon.
