Updated on October 16, 2026: We last updated this Chop a Forest tier list with the latest Classes.
Chop a Forest tier list has only four tiers. It is easy to chop a forest when you have the best Classes. There are multiple options, each with different stats and abilities. You can purchase Classes using Gems, but they aren't easy to farm. There are a few sources. The Chop a Forest tier list below ranks all the Classes into different tiers based on their stats and overall performance.
Chop a Forest Classes Tier List - Summary
Classes are divided into various rarities: Common, Uncommon, Rare, Epic, Legendary, Mythic, and Secret. Obviously, the higher-rarity Classes perform the best. However, they also cost more Gems to purchase from the Classes shop. Another thing about higher-rarity ones is that they rarely come into stock. That's why learning which Class is worth purchasing is the best way to invest your hard-earned Gems. You can decide that with our Chop a Forest Classes tier list. See below for the rankings of the best Classes:
| Tiers | Classes |
|---|---|
| SS | Clawman |
| S | Lumber Legend, Ultimate Lumberjack |
| A | Timber Titan, Forest Reaper |
| B | Chainsaw Specialist, Logmaster, Lumberjack, Woodcutter, Timber Baron |
Chop a Forest Classes Tier List - Breakdown
Here are the details of each class, their rarities, stats, and reasons for their rankings:
SS-Tier
The best Class is at the SS-tier rank in this Chop a Forest tier list. As of now, only the Clawman Class takes the spot. It provides the highest amount of buffs among all Classes.
| Class | Rarity | Stats | Reasons for Rankings |
|---|---|---|---|
| Clawman | Secret | +200% Power +35% Walk Speed +100% Sell Price +100% Rare tree luck +5 Carry | - The most OP class in the game. - Highest Power buff, Walk Speed, Sell Price, Rare tree luck, and Carry. - The most well-rounded Class |
S-Tier
Clawman is the most expensive Class, costing a whopping 4000 Gems. Till then, you can use those ranked in the S-tier of this Chop a Forest tier list.
| Classes | Rarity | Stats | Reasons for Rankings |
|---|---|---|---|
| Lumber Legend | Mythic | +100% Power +25% Walk Speed +50% Sell Price +50% Rare tree luck +3 Carry | - Buffs every primary stat across the board, second only to Clawman. - Second-best Class in the game - Costs 2,700 Gems. You can buy it and then save up for Clawman |
| Ultimate Lumberjack | Legendary | +50% Power +20% Walk Speed +25% Sell Price | - Costs 1,600 Gems, and you get a decent amount of buffs. - Can earn more money and walk faster quickly - This Class would be your first major investment and will stay with you for longer |
A-Tier
The A-tier Classes are average at best. They provide fewer buffs. I recommend skipping them. If you can spend, buy Forest reaper. As you can increase Power and Carry capacity during your runs.
| Class | Rarity | Stats | Reasons for Ranking |
|---|---|---|---|
| Timber Titan | Legendary | +60% Power +2 Carry | - A decent class if you need extra carry early on. - Costs 1,000 Gems. - It's better to save 600 more and buy Ultimate Lumberjack |
| Forest Reaper | Epic | +20% Power +25% Rare tree luck | - Decent Power, but you're buying this class for 25% Rare tree luck. - Use early on to increase your income - Costs only 500 Gems |

B-Tier
It's better to not invest in B-tier Classes, especially if you're a free-to-play player. Purchase Timber Baron if you want a permanent boost in your log's selling price. Actually, it's the only Class I recommend you use from the B-tier in this Chop a Forest Classes tier list.
| Class | Rarity | Stats | Reasons for Ranking |
|---|---|---|---|
| Timber Baron | Rare | +30% Sell Price | - Costs 330 Gems - Can buy for the early game to increase income |
| Chainsaw Specialist | Epic | +35% Power +10% Walk Speed | - Power buff is decent - Walk Speed buff isn't that much of an upgrade because you can buy vehicles and upgrade your walk speed while in a run |
| Logmaster | Rare | +10% Sell Price +2 Carry | - Not recommended to purchase - The only best thing is the 10% Sell Price buff. You can gain that buff from the Shop at 25 Gems. |
| Lumberjack | Uncommon | +10% Power +1 Carry | - Not recommended to purchase even in the early game - Low power buffs |
| Woodcutter | Common | +5% Power | - Starting Class |
How to Purchase Classes in Chop a Forest

You can buy Classes with Gems from the Classes Shop. Either purchase them in the lobby or during the run. The Classes shop is on the left side of the party creation area. During the run, you can find it on the right side of the garage.
Approach the shop to open the Classes menu. Then, select the Class you want to purchase and pay the required amount of Gems. The purchased Class will be permanently available. Note that the shop restocks every five minutes with new Classes.
How to Get Gems in Chop a Forest?
There are three sources for Gems in Chop a Forest. Here are the details:
- Complete a run: You get Gems at the end of each run. This requires completing all the areas the game currently offers.
- Free Rewards: You can claim free Gems from the Rewards shop to the left of the Classes shop in the lobby. It rewards a certain amount of Gems every day. So, the first thing you must do after opening the game is claim Daily Rewards. You can also get 100 Gems by joining the group from the Rewards shop. However, the group reward is one-time only.
- Chopping trees: You can get Gems by chopping certain trees. I usually get them when I chop a tree with mutations. It is purely a game of luck. However, you can get a couple of trees with mutations in each area.
