Storage Hunters on Roblox has a bunch of quest NPCs spread across the entire map, and it's really easy to miss a few of them if nobody points you in the right direction. I've tracked down all the known quest NPCs in Storage Hunters, so you can stop wandering and start grinding with a plan.

Storage Hunters Quest NPCs Explained

1. Billy

Billy is the very first NPC you will encounter in the game. His Junk Collector quest repeats over and over. You grind Junkyard auctions, hand in the required items, and collect your gems. It's repetitive, but the payout stacks up nicely the more you do it.

He also gives you the Junk Flipper quest, where you have to repair items using the wrench he gives you as a reward.

2. Gas Station NPC

Just a short walk from the Junkyard, this NPC has exactly two quests, and then he's done. The first is called Forecourt Cleanup, where he sends you back to the Junkyard for specific items. The second one points you toward the Back Alley. Clear both, and you're finished with him for good.

3. Basketball NPC

Near Back Alley, this NPC will give you the Bouncing Around quest, where you need to find six basketballs from the Junkyard. They drop as uncommon items, which sounds manageable until you actually try it.

The best trick here is to actually lower your luck stat. It sounds backwards, but lower luck increases uncommon drop rates.

4. Basketball Ring NPC

Right next to the basketball NPC, this one wants basketball rings from Back Alley. They are rare drops, but the overall grind feels much shorter than the basketball quest. However, you need to reach $3,000 net worth to start this quest.

5. Sal

Sal is similar to Billy at the Junkyard. He has a simple repeating quest. Just keep running auctions in the area and turning in items.

6. Black Market Guy

This one is tucked behind the main Back Alley section. He is located right adjacent to the building where Sal stands. Just walk to the back area, and you will find him standing on the stairs. You need to reach $5,000 net worth to start his quest, though.

He starts by asking for regular weapons from Back Alley, but after a while, he upgrades his demands to legendary weapons. If you've been grinding Back Alley long enough, you'll have plenty of those anyway. I haven't personally finished his full quest chain yet, but based on how other quests behave, there's probably an endpoint somewhere.

7. Ted

Ted runs a repeating area-specific quest at the Farmyard. Do your auctions there and hand in whatever he needs, just like Billy and Sal. One important thing: You need a minimum $10,000 net worth unlocked before you can even enter the Farmyard, so grind that up first.

8. Fishing Pond NPC

Head past the Farmyard to the pond and look for this NPC on the dock. Same as Ted, you will need to reach $10,000 net worth first to start his quests.

There are two quests here:

You will need a fishing rod to do it, which you can get from Farmyard auctions. The fishing rod comes in three tiers – rare, epic, and legendary – and higher rarity means more catches per session.

9. Steve

Steve is the late-game NPC in the Shipyard area and requires a $100,000 net worth just to access his area. His quest starts with 90 small container auctions, then automatically shifts to 15 large container auctions once you hit that milestone.

You can stack multiple quests at once, which makes your sessions way more efficient since you're working toward several goals at the same time. Don't skip the repeating quest NPCs in Storage Hunters, thinking they're pointless. The gems actually add up fast, and most of them seem to evolve rather than run forever.
