There are six silo bunker locations hidden along the western side of Hajin in Modern Warfare 4 DMZ, and not one of them needs a key to get into. You find the entrance near the silo, walk past a door that looks sealed, and walk out with free loot. Most squads never even know these places exist, which is the best part. Here is the list of all silo bunker locations in CoD: Modern Warfare 4 DMZ and how to open them.
Where to Find the Silo Bunkers in CoD: MW4 DMZ
All six silo bunkers are clustered around the left side of the map, near and underneath Chan-sang Air Base. They’re not marked on the main map, so the easiest way to spot them is by opening your minimap and looking for white circular markers. The bunker entrance is always just before the circle, so once you see it, you’re basically already there.

What’s Inside the Silo Bunkers in CoD: Modern Warfare 4 DMZ?
The loot here is honestly better than people give it credit for. Inside each bunker, you’ll find:
- Equipment bags
- Cabinets and shelves
- Military lockers containing weapons, backpacks, and field upgrades
- Caches scattered through the corridors
It’s not all guaranteed top-tier gear, but between multiple rooms and lockers, you’re almost always walking out with something useful. Weapons, a field upgrade, a fresh backpack - it adds up pretty fast.
All Silo Bunker Locations in CoD: Modern Warfare 4 DMZ
All six silos sit on the left side of the Hajin map. Open your map, zoom into the west side, and look for the circular markers. Since they’re all clustered in the same general zone, you can hit two or three of them in a single match without much travel time. Here’s where every silo is:
| Silo | Regional Coordinates | Exact Map Location | Nearby Landmarks |
| Silo 1 | Grid B-2 | North ridge of 14th Political Prison | Overlooking Hanrim Village |
| Silo 2 | Grid D-4 | Northeast perimeter of 14th Political Prison | Southwest edge of Revolution Dam |
| Silo 3 | Grid C-4 | Hillside immediately West of Tong-il Village | Dirt road switchback |
| Silo 4 | Grid A-5 | Western ridgeline above Chang-san Air Base | Directly across from the main runway |
| Silo 5 | Grid A-7 | Southwest plateau of Chang-san Air Base | Near the fuel depot tanks |
| Silo 6 | Grid A-7 | Mountain pass Southwest of Deadtown | Far western map border boundary |
How to Open Silo Bunkers in CoD: Modern Warfare 4 DMZ
Once you know the route, clearing these bunkers should only take a couple of minutes. The main thing to remember is that the locked door isn't your way forward, so there's no need to waste time trying to open it. Focus on checking every room and locker before heading toward the exit ladder. Just keep in mind that the loot is random, so some bunkers may offer better gear than others.
Summary: [Surface Tunnel Entrance] > [Hallway Bypass] > [Central Armory Loot] > [Exit Ladder / Hatch]
Step 1: Find the Bunker Entrance
Head to the Chan-sang Air Base area and watch your minimap. When you see a circular marker, slow down and look around it. The bunker entrance will be nearby. It’s always unlocked, so just walk in.
Inside, you’ll hit a door marked “secured on the inside - locked” pretty quickly. Since you won't be able to enter this door, what you need to do is just walk down the hallway and find a back entrance into the same room that’s always open. The locked door is basically just decoration and just to mess with new players.
Step 2: Loot the Rooms
Work through the corridors and loot everything you see, from bags, cabinets, lockers, and caches. Take your time here. There usually aren’t many AI guards inside, so the pressure is low compared to anywhere near Hajin. The loot is RNG-based, though, so most runs you’re getting common rarity gear. But there are times when the bunker gives you something useful, so it’s worth the two minutes it takes to check.
Step 3: Exit via the Ladder
Once you’ve cleared the bunker, follow the corridors to the end. You’ll find a ladder and a button that opens the silo hatch above. Hit the button, climb out, and you’re back on the surface.
What About the Silo Control Room?
Go deep enough, and you’ll find the Silo Control Room, sealed behind a Door Breacher Charge. Inside is a nuclear missile panel that currently does nothing. So you'd better save your breacher for now. Whatever that missile is building toward, it’s future content.

Silo bunkers in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 DMZ are perfect for rebuilding after an elimination. If you respawn with a fresh character and nothing in your hands, heading straight to Changang and running a few silos will get you back into a fighting loadout fast with weapons, a backpack, field upgrades, all from low-risk rooms. Even if you’re already loaded out, they’re worth a quick stop. Most squads are too focused on the main action to ever come this far west, so it’s quiet, safe, and the loot is free. That’s a combination you don’t get in many places in DMZ.
FAQs
No. The bunker entrance is always unlocked, and the locked door inside has a back entrance you can walk through.
Not really. It needs an Ultra-rarity Door Breacher Charge, and the nuclear missile inside can't be used yet.
You'll mostly find a weapons locker and some caches. The loot is random, so results change from match to match.
