One of the first decisions you make in Evomon is choosing your starter, and it is worth thinking about before you commit. When you meet Mentor Ben at the start of the game, he gives you the choice between three Evomons, each representing a different element. The right pick depends on your playstyle, but knowing what each one evolves into and how they perform later makes the decision a lot easier. Here is everything you need to know about Evomon starters and which one to pick.

All Starter Evomons and Their Evolutions

Each starter has two evolutions that unlock as they level up and meet the item requirements tied to the main story progression. All three starters stay within their starting element throughout both evolutions so the element you pick at the start is the element you are committing to for that Evomon's entire line.

What Is the Best Starter Evomon

Honestly the honest answer is that all three starters are reasonably balanced. Each element is strong against one type and weak to another following the classic Fire beats Grass, Grass beats Water, Water beats Fire triangle. That means no starter has a universal advantage and every one of them will have situations where they shine and situations where they struggle.

That said if you are asking for a recommendation right now Blazpu is the pick. Fire is performing well in the current meta and Blazpu's evolution line into Blazgrowl and then Blazmane gives you a solid Fire type that holds up well into the mid and late game. It is not that the other starters are weak but if you want a starter that feels strong and relevant in the content available right now Blazpu is the most comfortable choice to go with.

Whichever starter you pick, you will be catching and building a full team of Evomons anyway so the decision matters less than it might seem at first. Pick the one that appeals to you most and you will be fine. For more guides, check out our Evomon wiki.
