Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 4 - More Sprites Coming
Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 4 introduces 17 new Sprites to Battle Royale in the very first patch notes, but that's only the beginning. During Chapter 7 Season 3, a total of 117 Sprites were released, so it's safe to expect Season 4 to add plenty more as new updates roll out.
Sprites in Chapter 7 Season 4 have also been redesigned from the ground up. Instead of the small creatures that used to float behind your back, Sprites now look like blocky, cube-shaped backblings that strap directly onto your character.
You can see this clearly in the Override trailer. When Jonesy picks up the Sonic Sprite, it appears as a cube pack on his back rather than a floating companion on your back. The original floating Sprite design had a lot of charm. But when you consider that Override's whole theme revolves around retro gaming, pixel art, and gaming culture nostalgia, the cube look actually fits the season perfectly.
