Fortnitemares 2026 is stacked with new collaborations and bosses. This year, Epic brought in horror legends, FNAF animatronics, and returning season bosses all at once. Whether you're chasing mythic weapons or want to experience every fight the event has to offer, here is a list of all Fortnitemares 2026 bosses and mythic rewards you can get right now.
All 7 Fortnitemares 2026 Bosses and Their Locations
There are currently seven bosses in Fortnitemares 2026 right now. Each one spawns in a different part of the map:
Boss 1 - Freddy Krueger
Freddy Krueger is at Nightmare Neighborhood, which is basically the Halloween makeover of what used to be Battlewoods. However, Freddy doesn't always show up on your minimap as a skull icon like most bosses do. Moreover, Freddy doesn't always show up as himself either!
A lot of the time, he is wandering around disguised as a regular NPC. You will see a standard NPC icon on the map, and when you walk up to him, suddenly you're in a boss fight. Sometimes he even disguises as your skin. So it's very confusing.
He starts teleporting around and coming at you with his claw, so be ready for things to get chaotic fast. Here is what you walk away with after defeating him:
- Freddy's Nightmare
- Slap Candy Corn
- Random Fortnitemares Sprite
- 1-Up Token Power-Up

Freddy's Nightmare is a mythic melee weapon and easily one of the flashier things you can carry into a fight this season.
Boss 2 and 3 - Freddy Fazbear and Foxy
If you've been waiting for Five Nights at Freddy's to show up in Fortnite, your time has come. Freddy Fazbear and Foxy both spawn inside the new Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria POI, tucked into the far north-east corner of the map, just south of the Pac-Man island and not too far from Nightmare Neighborhood.
They tend to hang out near the stage inside the pizzeria, but if another squad has already rolled through before you, the animatronics may have moved from their starting positions. Here's what you get for taking either of them down:
- Wood Stakes Shotgun
- Chug Jug
- Random Fortnitemares Sprite
- Possess Animatronic Shell

The Possess Animatronic Shell is the standout reward here. It's a new mechanic. When you use it, your character's skin literally swaps to the animatronic you just defeated. It's a wild mechanic and a fun way to flex on other players mid-match.
Boss 4 and 5 - Chica and Bonnie
These two are the most frustrating bosses to hunt down during Fortnitemares. Chica and Bonnie don't have fixed spawn locations. They show up at completely random spots across the island. On top of that, they don't appear as skull icons on your map like most bosses, which makes tracking them down more of a luck game than anything strategic.

That said, if you do stumble across either of them, the fight plays out the same way as Freddy and Foxy, and the rewards are identical:
- Wood Stakes Shotgun
- Chug Jug
- Random Sprite
- Possess Animatronic Shell
I wouldn't spend an entire match actively hunting for Chica or Bonnie. If you run into them while doing something else, great, but chasing a random spawn across the whole map usually isn't worth it.
Boss 6 - Adam Smasher
Adam Smasher is a holdover from the regular season, but he's still very much active during Fortnitemares. His most common patrol area is near Geno's Machine toward the center of the map. He can also show up at Sunken Shores, or appear as a Boss Drop Rift Anomaly at a random location on the island.
Adam Smasher has insane jump height. Even if you position yourself on top of a cliff thinking you're safe to shoot down at him, he will close that gap. He can leap straight up to your elevation and start attacking, which makes a lot of the usual high-ground strategies much less effective than normal.
Here's what dropping him gets you:
- Rebecca's Guns Mythic from Cyberpunk Edgerunners
- Chug Jug
- Random Sprite
- 1-Up Token Power-Up

Rebecca's Guns is one of the better mythic weapons available this season, so Adam Smasher is worth the effort even if the fight is annoying.
Boss 7 - Hush
Hush is also still active on the island during the event, though her spawn locations have shifted slightly since the Fortnitemares update. She now shows up at Reality's Reign and Heatwave Harbor. She no longer appears at Battlewoods.
Like Adam Smasher, she can also spawn as a Boss Drop Rift Anomaly at a random location, so keep that in mind if you don't find her at her usual spots.
Taking down Hush gives you:
- Enhanced Assault Rifle
- Chug jug
- Random Sprite
- 1-Up Token Power-Up
The higher chance for a gold sprite is worth noting if you're specifically going after rare cosmetic drops during the event.
Will There Be More Bosses in Fortnitemares 2026
Yes, because Fortnitemares 2026 isn't done yet. Epic is running a second update on October 15th that's expected to bring new bosses to the island. Details aren't fully confirmed yet, but if the first wave is anything to go by, it's worth logging in to check what gets added.

FAQs
There are currently seven bosses active, with more expected to arrive in the October 15th update.
He's at Nightmare Neighborhood but often disguises himself as a normal NPC, so look for a regular NPC icon on your minimap rather than waiting for a skull marker.
After defeating a FNAF animatronic boss, you can use the Possess Animatronic Shell item to take over their body, which changes your character's appearance to that animatronic for the rest of the match.
