The Next Step is an early quest in Roblox Scrooms that requires you to find Halden and pay your respects at five Grove Statues. Completing this quest rewards you with the Ocarina, a core instrument that helps you progress through the game. Here are all five Grove Statue Locations in Scrooms you need to complete the quest.
Halden's Location - Starting The Next Step Quest in Scrooms
You can start The Next Step quest after completing the initial quests in Scrooms. First, complete Leo's basic tasks, which require you to catch Scrooms and sell them. Next, Leo asks you to find Uncle Halden in the Songkeeper's Grove. You can find Halden in the middle of the Grove near a campfire.
Interact with Halden to start the Next Step quest, where he asks you to pay your respects at the Grove Statues before giving you a gift.
All Five Grove Statue Locations in Scrooms
There are five Grove Statues you must find to complete The Next Step quest in Scrooms. Each statue stands on a round stone pedestal and features a different instrument. Some statues are standing, while others are sitting. Here are all the Grove Statue Locations in Scrooms:
- First Grove Statue: Found right next to Cal's house.
- Second Grove Statue: Found near Luca and Bennie's house.
- Third Grove Statue: Located near Halden, between the waterfall and Beekeeper Jones.
- Fourth Grove Statue: Behind the Seller's Shop, not far from spawn.
- Fifth Grove Statue: Located near Shax, who you can see directly from the spawn area.
Approach each statue and press E to pay your respects. Once you've interacted with all five statues, return to Halden to complete The Next Step quest and receive the Ocarina. Although you don't need to follow a specific order to pay your respects at the statues, I found this route to be the easiest way to locate all five.
First Grove Statue Location
The first Grove Statue is located right next to Halden. It is just outside Cal's house and is not too difficult to spot.
Second Grove Statue Location
From the first statue, head towards Bennie's house. You'll find the second statue right between Luca and Bennie's houses.
Third Grove Statue Location
The third statue you need to find for The Next Step quest in Scrooms is located near the river. Alternatively, return to Halden's location and turn left from where he is facing. You'll find the statue right next to a huge brown tree.
Fourth Grove Statue Location
The fourth statue is right next to the third one. Turn left from the third statue, and you'll find it behind the Seller's house.
Fifth Grove Statue Location
The fifth statue is directly opposite the fourth one. Turn around and head towards the Shax NPC or the Grove Lift to find it.

How to Get the Ocarina in Scrooms
Once you've interacted with all five Grove Statues, return to Halden at his camp in the Grove. Speak to him to complete The Next Step quest objective and receive the Ocarina in Scrooms. You can use the Ocarina to return to your spawn point or for some progression tasks later on in the game.
You can also play songs from the Songsheets using the Ocarina to gain Luck boosts and other benefits.
