Zenless Zone Zero Version 2.8 Update Release Date and Time
Version 2.8 releases on Wednesday, May 6th, 2026. Based on how HoYoverse usually handles their update rollouts, the servers are expected to go down for maintenance just before launch. Here is when the server will be up again:

Two new agents are coming in 2.8, and they’re split across the two phases of the patch:
- Phase 1 – Promeia: Running May 6 to May 27.
- Phase 2 – Starlight Billy: Running from May 27 to June 16.

New Outfit: Dignified Blossom
Miyabi is getting a brand-new outfit in 2.8 called Dignified Blossom. The outfit will be available at a discounted price for the duration of the patch, so if you’ve been waiting to grab a skin for her, this is a good time. The discount won’t stick around after the version ends.
Free Bangboo: Booltergeist
You can get a free A-Rank Bangboo in this version called Booltergeist. All you have to do is participate in the Operation: Save Bootopia event, where you explore the island of Bootopia with Eous.

Story: Season 2 Epilogue Part B
The story continues in 2.8 with the second part of the Season 2 Epilogue, titled New Eridan Sunset B. From what’s been revealed, you’ll be working alongside Promeia and Billy as the truth behind Ramiel’s real motivations starts to come to light. If you’ve been following the main story, this is a chapter you won’t want to skip.
ZZZ is Coming to Steam
One more big announcement from the 2.8 livestream: Zenless Zone Zero is officially coming to Steam. The store page is already live, so you can wishlist it right now. There’s even a Wishlist Milestone Event tied to it, where players get in-game rewards as the wishlist count hits certain milestones. More wishlists means more rewards for everyone, so it’s worth heading over and adding it.
