The Fortnite FNCS Global Championship 2026 is a major Duos tournament where the best teams from around the world compete on LAN for a share of the $2,000,000 prize pool. The tournament is already underway, with the early matches already changing the leaderboard. FNCS Global Championship 2026
The Fortnite FNCS Global Championship is the biggest competitive Fortnite event of the year. Only the best players make it here, and the road to qualify isn't easy at all. This year, 50 Duos (100 players total) earned their spot after grinding through two Majors and a LAN qualifier that kicked off back in April. Out of thousands of players, only 100 made the cut.
The event is being hosted at the Lotto Arena in Antwerp, Belgium, and it's a full-on LAN experience. One of the biggest talking points heading into this event is the format change. The FNCS Global Championship 2025 was Trios, but Epic switched things up for 2026 and went with Duos instead this year.

FNCS Global Championship 2026 Schedule
The event runs across two days, on September 26th and 27th, 2026. Each day features six Duos Battle Royale matches, for a total of 12 matches across the full event.
Here's how each day is structured:
- The broadcast kicks off at 7 AM PT
- 1st game starts at 11 AM ET
- After the 3rd game, there's a 20-minute intermission
- The day wraps up at 12:30 PM PT

How the Scoring Works in FNCS Global Championship 2026
In FNCS, every match gives you points based on two things:
- How well your team places in that match.
- How many teams you eliminate.
A Victory Royale (VR) gives a big bonus, so a duo that is only mid-table in points can quickly move up the standings with one win. This also means teams with fewer kills can still score more points than teams that fight a lot. After all 12 matches, the team with the most total points wins. There are no resets or brackets. All points from both days are added together to get the final score.

Demuś and Darm team is the winner of Day 1 so far. Leading with 184 points and 20 eliminations across three games. Koyota and Yuma, plus Grx and Randu, are two of only three teams with Victory Royales at this point. VRs are worth a huge chunk of points, so those could become massive by the end of Day 2.

FNCS Globals 2026 Prize Pool
With $2,000,000 up for grabs, the stakes couldn't be higher. Every team at this event walks away with something, but the gap between first and last place is enormous. First place earns $400,000!
On top of the money, the FNCS Champions also receive the Axe of Champions, which is an exclusive pickaxe that you literally cannot buy in the Item Shop. It's only handed to the winners, and Epic holds onto it until the next year's Champions are crowned. It's one of the most coveted cosmetics in competitive Fortnite.
