The GTA 6 hype just got a fresh shot of fuel. Rockstar dropped something new on their website, and while it's not a full trailer, the internet has already been analyzing every pixel of it for hours. Here's everything you need to know about the GTA 6 Vice City footage.
Rockstar Just Released GTA 6 Vice City Footage
Alongside the official GTA 6 cover art and pre-order date announcement, Rockstar quietly updated the GTA 6 landing page on their website. Scroll down, and you'll find a short, animated aerial clip of Vice City at sunset. It runs at 4K and 30FPS, which is likely the same frame rate the game will target on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S at launch.
This is the first new in-game look we've had since Trailer 2 dropped over a year ago. It's only 8 seconds long, but there's a lot packed in.
Everything Visible in the New GTA 6 Vice City Footage
The footage shows Vice City from high above during golden hour, with identifiable landmarks like Port Gellhorn and the Leonida Keys in view. But what makes it special is just how much activity is crammed into one shot.
What you can see in the clip:
- Around 7 aircraft, including planes and helicopters
- Around 7 boats and ferries
- Multiple cars on the distant highway
- Ferris Wheel (it's moving, but it has no reflection in the water below - might be a rendering issue)
- Tennis court beside a high-rise building
Everything in that scene is moving, and it looks very stunning. For me, that's one of the most exciting things here. Even from a bird's-eye view, Vice City already feels more alive than Los Santos ever did.
We all remember that in GTA 5, windows on buildings were just flat textures. Now we can actually see in more detail that GTA 6 is doing something different. The clip confirms parallax interiors on the buildings. If you don't know what that is, it's a technique where windows display a 3D depth effect, making it look like actual rooms exist behind the glass.

The result? Buildings feel even more real and inhabited rather than painted on. Although it's been used in other modern games, seeing it across Vice City's skyline is impressive. I think this one small detail is going to make a massive difference to how immersed you feel when you're playing the game.
When Will GTA 6 Pre-Order Go Live?
Pre-orders go live on June 25th, 2026, so pricing questions should be answered soon. The game is launching on November 19th, 2026 (you can check our countdown to see how many days you have left until you can play as Lucia and Jason). Whether Rockstar sticks with $70 or pushes higher is still unknown, but given a reported development budget crossing $3 billion, don't be shocked either way.
