You can play the game in solo or multiplayer mode. The story starts with the "Steak is acting weird..." chapter. he ate them is a Roblox horror game based on creators Steak, Cruz, Romy, and Spink. The entire game has a first-person PoV. You go to Steak's place to meet and greet with him. However, Cruz, sitting on the building lobby floor, tells you that Steak is acting weird. That's the start of the game. As you progress, you try to save Romy, meet Splink, get chased by Steak, and get involved in many weird situations.
I found the story interesting and am keen to uncover Steak's mystery, who has apparently turned into a cannibal or been possessed (he also looks like a dog-like creature with an oversized body, elongated hands, ears, and legs).
In addition to the story, each chapter has a bunch of achievements. You can complete them by performing in-game activities and completing the chapters. Doing so rewards you with its respective badge.

You spawn at a hotel, ready for the meet-and-greet event with Steak. However, you find Cruz in the lobby, sitting on the floor, with a plate and a weapon. You learn that Steak has been acting weird because Cruz replaced his food with carrots. Steak also tried tasing Cruz's dad and took his sister Romy. Cruz tells you that Steak is staying in room no. 67.
After that, you begin your horror adventure. Here's a full he ate them walkthrough to complete Chapter 1:
- Get to the elevator.
- Follow the cookie trail to Room 67 and enter.
- Find Steak in the room to the left of the living room. You'll find him eating cookies with a Tung Tung Sahur behind him.
- Interact and talk with Steak. You'll hear a weird sound during the conversation.
- Hide in the bathroom. Steak will find you after the noise outside stops.
- He asks you not to flush the toilet and goes to eat again.
- Go to the door to exit the room. That's when you hear Romy asking for help from the room on the right side of the door.
- Approach the door and attempt to open it. Romy asks you to find help.
- Exit the room and go to the elevator. You'll find Cruz inside.

- Grab the key and open the door where Romy is stuck.
- You see Steak appearing in a small cutscene. He breaks the door and throws you out.
- The chase starts. Run and dodge the obstacles to reach an elevator.
- The elevator won't budge. Steak finds you, opens the elevator door forcefully, and attacks you.

he ate them's Chapter 2 begins with a recap, leading to the first Chapter's end. The game shows someone coming out of the door you opened in Chapter 1. However, it's not Romy. At the elevator, a creature way taller than you catches you. It doesn't look like Steak, or maybe it's him. The creature hears a noise and runs back, sparing you. That's the start of Chapter 2.
Chapter 2 takes place in two places: Steak's apartment and Splink's parents' house. Here's a complete he ate them walkthrough to complete Chapter 2:
Steak's Apartment
- Find an alternate route to exit the building. Exit the elevator and go through the door on your left.
- Climb down the stairs until you see a Staff Only elevator.
- Get inside and go down. You reach a dirty room. Go straight and turn right at the corner. You'll find a single door.
- Interact with he door, and someone from the other side hears you.
- While you wait for him to open the door, you hear the creature coming towards you. The lights go out, and the room becomes dark.
- Don't move in the dark until the door opens.
- Enter the room when the door opens. You find out that the person is Splink, Steak's brother.
- Get into his car and reach his parents' house.
Splink's Parents' House
- Explore the house for some time, then ask Splink to show you your room.
- Follow Splink to the guest bedroom in the basement.
- After sleeping, you wake up in a nightmare. You can either explore or do nothing.
- You wake up from the dream after hearing a noise upstairs.
- Take the torch on the bedside table and go upstairs.
- Open the main door to let Cruz in. He isn't dead but is gravely injured and has lost his right leg.
- Splink also comes into the living room.
- The phone rings in mid-conversation. Answer it.
- Follow Splink and Cruz to stream in Steak's office.
- While Cruz is streaming, the electricity goes out. You unwillingly must go to the top floor and switch on the fuse.
- Get out of the basement to the top floor. Once there, turn around, go to the room at the far end of the floor, and turn on the fuse.
- Go back to the basement. On the way, Steak appears and catches you. He informs you that the person you rescued from his apartment isn't Romy. It is a mimic.
- The mimic appears, and the chase begins.
- Go to the living room, turn right, then left, and go straight.
- You stumble and fall on the way.
- While Romy's mimic is about to attack you, the creature from the Steak's apartment interferes.
- Get out of the door.

What Happens in the End?
The game has only two chapters for now. So, the game ends after you escape through the door at the Chapter 2's end. According to the game's Roblox page, Chapter 3 is set to release on November 14, 2026, at 5:00 PM ET.
