Steal an Egg! has new secrets in the game, which include a locked vault, a strange sugar glider, and a bunch of floating robots that all tie together. If you miss one small detail, you can spend hours running around with nothing to show for it. I'll walk you through how to find all the locations for 5 drone parts in Steal an Egg, so you don't waste any time.
How to Start the Vault Secret Quest in Steal an Egg
The secret is built around the Stolen Experiment Vault during the Dr. Scramble Event. It's broken, and it needs 5 drone parts before you can open it. Those 5 parts don't come from one place, of course. Two of them are Lost Parts found in biomes, and three of them are dropped by Dr. Scramble's Drones.
You can't collect anything until you trigger the quest. It takes about a minute. Here is how to start it:
- Go to the Abyss Ocean biome. It sits between the Prehistoric and Volcano biomes.
- Look for a tiny hole on the right side of the area and squeeze through it.
- Talk to the sugar glider named Escaped Experiment.
- The Stolen Experiment Vault window pops up and shows the 5 missing parts.
The game doesn't give you much of a clue after that, so I'll fill in the rest below.

1. Lost Drone Part #1: Prehistoric Biome
Head into the Prehistoric biome and find the big T-Rex on the left. The part is hiding just beside its head. Once you spot it, just grab it.
2. Lost Part #2: Volcano Biome
The second of the 5 lost drone parts locations is in the Volcano biome, inside a tiny volcano near the wall. You can't actually see it. You have to go inside the volcano itself until a prompt to collect it pops out.
3. Lost Part #3 to 5: Dr. Scramble
This is where most of your time goes. Every 30 minutes, the game spawns Dr. Scramble Experiment drones. They are round, floating drones that show up in every biome. Each drone only has around 3-10 HP, and you need to defeat them with your weapon.
When it dies, it drops Samples. The lost drone part is a random drop, so killing a drone doesn't guarantee one. The game doesn't show a drop rate, so I can't give you an exact number. Expect to farm more than three drones to get all three parts.
How to Claim the Scrambler in Steal an Egg
Once you find all 5 lost drone parts (2 Lost Parts and 3 Drone Parts), do this:
- Go back to the Escaped Experiment in the Abyss Ocean.
- Open the Stolen Experiment Vault window.
- Hit Claim.
That unlocks the Scrambler in the game. When you equip the item, it will act as your sword outside of the safe zone, and it can give you double hits so you get more Samples from the drones. The Samples can be used to buy new items from Dr. Scramble's Experiments Shop.
The Steal an Egg vault secret quest isn't hard, but it does eat your time. It's better to grab the two drone parts on the biomes first, then keep farming drones every 30 minutes until the last part drops.
