Reales are everything in Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced. Without a steady supply of gold, you cannot upgrade the Jackdaw, and without a strong Jackdaw, you cannot take on the bigger ships that drop the best loot. Fortunately, there is a reliable early game farming method that can net you thousands of Reales per run once you have the right setup in place. Here is the best AC Black Flag Resynced money farming method and what you should upgrade first to make it work.
Recommended Upgrades Before Farming Reales
Before heading to the farm spot make sure you have at least a couple of key upgrades in place. You do not need a fully maxed Jackdaw to make this work but having some baseline upgrades makes the runs significantly faster and safer.

It is also worth completing the Officer Quests before farming. Recruiting Lucy Baldwin from the Salt Key Bank region unlocks the Perfect Brace ability which greatly reduces damage taken when you time the brace correctly. Completing A Second Chance to recruit Padre unlocks the Ram Dash ability. Both of these are available after Sequence 4 and both make a meaningful difference during farming runs.
Best Reales Farm Location in AC Black Flag Resynced
The best early game farming spot is south of Great Inagua. Once you have the Punta Guarico fort unlocked use it as your fast travel point since it spawns you right next to your ship. The reason this spot works so well is that enemy ships in the region are frequently already fighting each other when you arrive. You can sail in and immediately engage without needing to chase anyone down. Multiple ships spawn in the area and each run can net you thousands of Reales between ship cargo, Captain's Lockboxes, and loot chests.

When you arrive at the area you will typically see multiple ships already in combat. Here is the most efficient way to work through them:
Start by firing your Mortars as you approach since the long range lets you begin chipping away at ships before they can react. Lead your shots to account for ship movement. Use the Ram to open up close quarters combat. Pressing both bumpers together triggers the Ram attack and it is one of the fastest ways to knock a ship's health down quickly at the start of an engagement.
Always aim to board ships rather than sinking them. Boarding rewards the full cargo haul while sinking a ship gives you significantly less loot. The only time sinking makes sense is when you are already engaged with multiple targets and cannot safely board.
After clearing a ship grab every chest you can find including the Captain's Lockbox which is the highest value item on any captured vessel. A single Captain's Lockbox can reward 500 to 3,000 Reales on top of everything else you collect from the run.
