At the time of writing, the official line still targets a 2026 release without committing to a specific date. The picture differs from Xbox's official communications. The Verge journalist Tom Warren stated on X that he is not expecting to see Forza Horizon 6 on PS5 in 2026, casting doubt on the official messaging.

Going further, French deals and leaks publication Dealabs reported (leak by billbil-kun) that, according to their sources, Forza Horizon 6 will release on PS5 on January 26, 2027. That date directly contradicts Xbox's stated 2026 target and aligns with Warren's expectation that the port would not arrive this year.

It is also worth noting that January 2027 would conveniently place the PS5 launch well clear of GTA 6, which releases on November 19, 2026. Launching a major open-world racing game in the same window as the biggest game release in history would be a difficult commercial decision for any publisher, and pushing to January likely reflects that reality as much as any development consideration.
