Before Getting Started
There are a few things to note and certain limitations of the Google Bard share option that you need to know before getting started.
- Bard offers the option to share only specific responses or entire conversations.
- People who can access the shared link can only view your conversation. But they cannot edit or continue the chat further.
- Currently, any file you included in the prompt will not be included in the shared conversation.
- Images generated from Bard will be included on the shared conversation page.
- Finally, these are public links, so anyone with the link will be able to access your conversation. Make sure to not include any personal details or keep your links secured.
1. Open bard.google.com on your browser to open Google Bard AI chatbot. Select the chat from the sidebar that you want to share.
2. If you prefer to share only one response from the entire conversation, click on the share icon below that particular response. Then click on the Share option in the pop-up menu.
3. Make sure This prompt & response option is selected. You will not see this option if you have only one response in the entire chat.
Whereas if you wish to share the entire conversation, just click on the share icon below any response and select the Entire chat option in the pop-up.
4. Bard will use your prompt as a headline. If you want to make it short and readable, click on the Generate more under the Headline option to generate smaller headlines. Also, you can edit the generated headlines later.
5. Once done, click on the Create public link option at the bottom.
6. On the next pop-up, click on the copy icon to copy the link and share it with anyone. Alternatively, you can also share the link to your social media apps like Facebook, Twitter, Reddit, and Linked In directly from Bard.
That’s it, now they can open the link and access the conversation even without a Bard account. As mentioned before, they can only view your conversation, but cannot edit or continue the conversation further.
1. The process of sharing Bard conversations on Android and iOS is similar. To get to the conversation you want to share, you have to tap on the hamburger menu at the top and then tap on the drop-down beside the Recent option.

In case, you shared anything that you no longer want to share or maybe shared with the wrong person, you can unshare the conversation. So that even when they open the link, they cannot access your conversation. It will be offline.
