How to Unlock Shockwave Blood Demon Art in Slayers 2

You must complete a few steps first to get Shockwave in Slayers 2. You must be a Demon; then you can either roll for the Blood Demon Art or find a Shockwave Orb from a chest. After obtaining the Shockwave, you can unlock its moves are unlocked through mastery and the Skill Tree, with the ultimate move requiring a boss drop.

Step 1: Become a Demon First

Before anything else, you need to be a Demon. Shockwave is a Blood Demon Art, which means it's off the table if you are still human or a Slayer.

To start, drop your reputation to around -40. Once you hit that, Muzan begins appearing at night. He shows up at Mistfall Harbor or somewhere in the Hidden Mist area, so check both spots after dark.

When you find him, he will give you two tasks: the Spider Lily quest and the Doctor Higoshima. Finish both, then drink the Muzan blood potion he offers. That is how you become a Demon in Slayers 2.

There are two ways to get Shockwave, and neither is guaranteed, but both are worth knowing:

1. Roll for Shockwave

After becoming a Demon, you get access to the Biwa Bell. Use it to teleport to Muzan's location, where you can roll for Blood Demon Arts. Shockwave is part of the Blood Demon Art pool, so you can keep rolling and hope it appears. Each roll costs 3 spins.

There isn't a separate Shockwave trainer whom you can visit to purchase the art. Rolling is one of the main ways to get it.

2. The Chest Orb Method

If a Shockwave Orb drops for you from a chest, consume it right away. This is the list of drop chances for Blood Demon Art in the game from chests:

Step 3: Shockwave Questline

Getting the Orb doesn't immediately give you the Blood Demon Art. Instead, consuming it starts a Shockwave Core Training questline. You then have to complete the tasks associated with it.

The important part is that you must stay alive during the questline. If you die, you lose the Shockwave Orb and the questline, meaning you'll need to find another Orb and start again. Because of that, I recommend starting the questline when you're properly prepared, rather than rushing into it with low health or weak gear.

Once you have Shockwave, not all moves are available immediately. You unlock the abilities by gaining mastery and purchasing nodes from the Skill Tree. There is a major exception, though. The Annihilation Type (B) move requires an Akaza Boss drop.

How to Get the Annihilation Type Move from Akazo Boss

You can obtain the B move by defeating the Akazo Boss. He is located in the cave that's just northwest of Windy Peak Shrine. He's waiting for you behind a wall near the Serpent trainee.

This is the list of items he drops, with the drop chances:

  • World Events Chest
  • 1,000 XP
  • 450 Wen
  • Akazo's Bottom (5%)
  • Akazo's Top (5%)
  • Annihilation Type (5%)

So if you're farming the B move, you'll need to repeatedly defeat Akaza and rely on the 5% drop chance. Akaza also drops his outfit, giving you another reason to farm the boss after you've already obtained the move.
