Where to Find the Thunder Breathing Trainer

Zentaro is located at the top of a mountain in Verdant Cliffs. Follow these steps to reach him:

  • Step 1: Start at the main spawn point at Windy Peak.
  • Step 2: Head straight past the mother bear and bear cubs area toward Oaki's house.
  • Step 3: Continue past the waterfall.
  • Step 4: Use your double jump and wall climb to navigate up the elevated paths toward the raised pillar or branch structure above the waterfall area.
  • Step 5: Zentaro is on the platform at the top. Interact with him while carrying your 10 Demon Horns and 7000 Yen to begin the questline.

All Thunder Breathing Training Tasks

After speaking to Zentaro you need to complete six training tasks before Thunder Breathing unlocks. Follow the active quest marker after each objective to move to the next one.

  • Meditation: Pay attention to the indicator as it moves across the screen. Press the required input when the indicator reaches the correct spot. Repeat this for each prompt until the progress bar reaches 100%.
  • Cup Training: Watch the cups carefully as the ball is placed under one of them. Once all three cups have been shuffled, choose the one you think is hiding the ball. There are 10 rounds in total, and you get 3 lives, so three incorrect guesses will end the training. Remember the ball's position before the shuffle and follow the cups closely.
  • Push Ups: Complete the button prompts that appear during the exercise. Each input needs to be pressed at the right time, so watch the timing indicator and follow the prompts until you've filled the progress bar completely.
  • Aim Training: You'll need to shoot a series of targets that appear around the screen. Move your cursor between targets and take them out as quickly as possible. Keep doing this until all the required targets have been cleared.
  • Boulder Split: This section uses a sequence of timed inputs. Watch the movement shown on screen and reproduce it with the required controls. Continue following each sequence until the objective is finished and the quest moves on to the final task.

Defeat the Thunder Trainee

The final challenge is a boss fight against the Thunder Trainee. Its attacks come quickly, so pay close attention to its attack patterns and avoid rushing in. Dodge at the right time, then use the openings after its attacks to deal damage.

After defeating the Thunder Trainee, you will unlock Thunder Breathing. Head to the Skill Tree and use your Skill Points to purchase the Thunder Breathing techniques you want.
