Flame Breathing is one of the strongest styles in Slayers 2, and unlocking it requires reaching the right level, gathering materials, finding the trainer, and then completing six training tasks. Here is everything you need, from requirements to the final boss fight, to unlock the Slayers 2 Flame Breathing Style.

Slayers 2 Flame Breathing Requirements

Before heading to the trainer make sure you have all three of the following ready or you will not be able to start the questline:

Where to Find the Flame Trainer NPC in Slayers 2

The Flame Trainer is an NPC named Rengu, and finding him is the first hurdle for most players. Start at Windy Peak, which is the starting town. Exit the town and take a sharp right, then continue straight past obstacles along the path toward the tavern and house area near the red bridge from Mistfall Village and the Forgotten Ruins. Rengu is located behind a house or tavern in that area. Once you find him, interact with him while carrying your 10 Demon Horns and 6000 Wen to begin the Flame Breathing training questline.

All Flame Breathing Style Training Tasks

After meeting the requirements and speaking with Rengu, you must complete six training tasks before Flame Breathing style is unlocked. Keep following the quest marker to complete the next stage. Here are all the tasks that you will need to perform.

  • Meditation: Watch the screen for a moving bar and tap when it hits the sweet spot. Timing is everything here as early or late inputs do not register. Repeat until you clear 100%.
  • Push Ups: A series of button prompts flash up, and you need to match each one as the indicator swings into position. Miss too many and your progress stalls so keep your eyes on the bar.
  • Boulder Split: You are given a movement pattern on screen and need to mirror it with your input. The key is staying smooth rather than rushing as jerky inputs break your streak.
  • Aim Training: Targets scatter across the screen, and you need to pick them off one by one. There is no trick to this one beyond staying sharp and clicking fast enough to keep up with the spawns.
  • Cup Training: Three cups, one ball, ten rounds. The cups shuffle after the ball is hidden, and you have to point out the right one at the end. Get it wrong, and you burn a life, and you only have three. Lock onto the correct cup the instant it covers the ball and track it through every swap without breaking focus.

Defeat the Flame Trainee

The final task is a boss fight against the Flame Trainee mini-boss. Do not attack recklessly. Watch the boss's movement patterns carefully and prioritise dodging incoming attacks over landing hits. Take your time, and the fight is manageable.

After completing all six training tasks, Flame Breathing is officially unlocked. Open your Skill Tree and spend Skill Points to unlock individual Flame Breathing techniques. Each skill costs a different number of points, so plan your build before spending. For more guides, check out our Slayers 2 Wiki.
