Knowing what to do at every level in Slayers 2 makes the difference between smooth, consistent progress and getting stuck wondering why you cannot advance. The game has clear milestone checkpoints and skipping certain quests will lock you out of future content. Here is every Slayers 2 progression stage from spawn to endgame in the correct order.
Level 1 to 7: Windy Peak and First Quests
Your journey starts in Windy Peak, which is Slayers 2's starting point. Talk to Krue and accept his quest to defeat three bandits. Repeat this quest until you reach level seven. The experience gain from this quest has been improved compared to earlier versions, so it moves faster than it looks. While you are in this area, before moving on, make sure you do the following:
- Pick up your first sword from the vendor next to Krue after completing the first quest. Two sword options are available, and either works for early grinding.
- Defeat Zuko, the boss NPC in this area, as early as possible. He has a 20% chance to drop his cutlass, which comes with active skills including Quick Draw. This is one of the best weapons you can have in the early game and will carry your grinding significantly.
Do the old man's paper-finding quest by collecting five pages scattered around the starter area. Then complete Lucy's quest which sends you to Tom for bear meat, and return it to her. Then complete Kazu's delivery quest which introduces you to the level 26 quest giver. These side quests are not optional. If you skip them, you will hit a progression wall at level 35 and be unable to advance.
Level 7 to 18: Tom and the Bear Quests
Once you hit level seven in Slayers 2, head straight down from Windy Peak to find Tom and his bear cub quests. Grind Tom's quest chain from level 10 through to around level 18, killing bear cubs and eventually the Mother Bear boss, who drops a chest with decent loot. Also, near the bear area, you will find the black market merchant Kuro, who only appears at night.

Level 18 to 26: Continuing the Quest Chain
Continue grinding Tom's bear quest while completing the side quest chains you started in Windy Peak. This phase is all about staying on top of the quest objectives and not skipping anything. The delivery quest from Kazu that you accepted earlier connects to the level 26 quest giver, so make sure that chain is completed before you hit 26.
This is also a good time to start thinking about your breathing style. Breathing trainers become available around level 25, and most of them require demon horns and beast cores. Start farming these materials now so you are not delayed when the time comes.
- Demon horns - head to the snow biome above the bear quest area at night. High-level demons spawn along the mountain edges and drop one to two horns per kill. The cave beneath the mother bear is also a strong farming spot, with up to six low-tier demons spawning simultaneously.
- Beast cores - visit the village near Tom at nighttime. Beast demons spawn exclusively at night around this area and drop cores consistently. Most breathing trainers require around three cores.

Level 26 to 34: Kaden Subordinates
At level 26, talk to Chaka, who sends you to Wendy Peaks to fight Kaden's subordinates. Grind these enemies from level 26 through to around level 34. Kaden himself also drops his claw weapon, which has its own skill tree, so defeat him when you get the chance.
During this phase, you should also get your breathing style if you have not already. Locate the trainer for the breathing style you want and bring your demon horns, beast cores, and Wen. Water breathing is one of the more accessible early options, with its trainer located in a hidden underwater cave near Arodaki's waterfall area, accessible by swimming down beneath the waterfall.

Level 34 to 45: Wagwan Quests
Around level 34 to 35, drop down to find Wagwan and accept his quest chain. This gives you quests to grind inside the waterfall cave area and provides solid experience through to level 45. Run both Wagwan's repeatable quests and continue the Kaden chain simultaneously to maximise your XP per session.

Level 45: Final Selection
Final selection opens every two hours, and you must be present at the entrance to be placed in when it begins. The entire event is a multi-stage quest chain inside a contained area, and completing it earns you your slayer crow and slayer uniform. Completing the final selection rewards your slayer crow, which unlocks the next phase of quests and your slayer uniform. For more guides, check out our Slayers 2 wiki.
