It can feel overwhelming for beginners starting with the game. Here is a detailed beginner's guide to Slayers 2 so you can get started on the right path to ascension from the get-go.

Clans and Customization in Slayers 2

Before jumping in, take some time to select your clan. Clans give you passive buffs and, in some cases, special modes and active skills that carry weight throughout the entire game. Where possible, try to match your clan to the breathing style you plan to use, since many clans apply elemental damage bonuses that directly amplify specific breathing types. You can get Clans by spinning either purchased spins or ores earned from grinding in-game chests.

Skill Tree Priorities in Slayers 2

As a beginner Slayers 2 player, you should open your skill tree and plan your points carefully, since you only get three per level. The most important early unlocks are double jump and wall climb, as these make traversal and combat significantly easier. After those, prioritise max HP and a moderate investment into stamina. Also pick up additional damage and block points early. Your clan passives and breathing skills are further down the tree, so keep some points in reserve as you approach those milestones.

Early Game Quests and Leveling

Beginners should start with Krue's Quest at the first spawn area in Windy Peak and repeat it until you hit around level seven. After that, talk to the NPCs in the starter village to unlock the next chain of quests. The most important early side quests to complete in Slayers 2 are the old man's paper-finding quest, Lucy's bear meat quest, and Kazu's delivery quest. Do not skip these, as they are required to progress past level 35.

Also, defeat the boss Zuko near the starter area as early as possible. He drops a cutlass at a 20% rate that comes with actual skills, including Quick Draw, making it one of the best starter weapons for grinding.

Getting Demon Horns and Beast Cores

As a beginner in Slayers 2, you will need both for most breathing style trainers.

Demon Horns

Head to the snow biome above the bear quest area and farm the high-level demons that spawn there at night. They drop one to two horns reliably and are manageable once you understand their attack patterns. The cave beneath the mother bear area is also a strong farming spot with six low-tier demons spawning at a time.

Beast Cores

Visit the village near Tom at nighttime, as beast demons spawn there and drop cores consistently. Most breathing styles require around three beast cores, so plan a short farming session before approaching a trainer.

How to Get a Breathing Style

Breathing trainers become available around level 25. Each one has its own location and cost. Water breathing is one of the more accessible early options, with its trainer found in a hidden area accessible by swimming down beneath the waterfall near Arodaki. Check the map for trainer locations and bring your farming materials before heading out.

How to Become a Demon

You need at least negative 40 reputation to become a demon in Slayers 2. Start by killing civilians in the starter town or defeating slayer players to build negative rep. Once you hit the threshold, Muzan will eventually appear at night in one of the villages, including the Snow and the hidden Mist village. Server-hop between these locations at nighttime for the best chance of finding him. He will ask for spider lilies before proceeding with the transformation. Spider lilies spawn near the waterfall area by the bear quest as small blue and red flowers on the ground.
