Feel like your damage is lacking when tackling higher-level content in Slayers 2? The biggest reason is that you have not upgraded your weapons, and that’s where V2 upgrades become important. V2 weapons in Slayers 2 hit harder and are mandatory for clearing endgame challenges. To get these weapons, you need to unlock and use the Forge. Here’s everything you need to know about the Slayers 2 Forge system, and how to unlock and craft the V2 weapons.
How to Unlock the Forge in Slayers 2
The Forge is where you turn your regular starting katana into its V2 version. They hit harder and deal more damage to enemies, but it doesn't unlock for free. To unlock the Forge in Slayers 2, you need to be Level 65 to start the questline. There's no way around it, so if you're under that level, just focus on grinding regular quests and leveling up first.
Once you hit Level 65, head toward Mist Village and look for Blacksmith Togane. He is on the higher cliffs above the town. When you interact with him, pick the "Your other forge" option to start the Forge questline, and follow his directions to unlock the crafting system properly.
He will send you toward the actual Forge location and unlock the crafting system for you, which will include dungeon-farming.

The actual Forge where you craft V2 weapons is inside Ouwigahara, not in the village. To get there:
- Find Togane again on Floor 1 and open his menu. If the unlock went through, you'll see the full recipe list instead of a locked screen.
- Fast travel to Mistfall Harbor Shrine. Cross the first long bridge past the harbor and keep going through the torii gates.
- Cross the second bridge and use the glowing purple portal at the far end.
This loads you into the Ouwigahara lobby, where you'll find shops, the run-starting book, and the Weapons Area.
How to Farm the Ouwigahara Dungeon
The Ouwigahara Dungeon is a wave-based challenge where you can fight enemies, select buff cards, and earn points. Since you need 90,000x Dungeon Points to craft a V2 weapon, you need to grind it here. There are some tips and strategies that you can use before grinding the dungeon:
- Stock up
- Talk to Alchemist Meku in the Apothecary before starting a run. He sells potions and elixirs, which you can't buy mid-run.
- Pick your cards
- Lucky Draw - One of the best cards in the game. It increases your luck and helps you roll better cards.
- Vampiric - Can heal you off hits.
- Pure Damage - Stacks attack, damage percent, and cooldown reduction.
- Fair Fight - All enemies spawn at once, so floors are faster to clear.
The first 20 floors are pretty easy to beat. Just grab damage and keep moving. A boss appears every 10 floors, starting with the Hand Demon at Floor 10. Floors 60 to 70 are roughly where you'll cross 90,000x points, though a strong damage build can hit it much earlier.
Finishing at Floor 51 or more unlocks the Ouwigahara Chest. Each pull costs 30,000x points.
Criteria to Craft a V2 Weapon in Slayers 2
Once you have unlocked the Forge, you can check which materials you need to craft the V2 weapons. The materials needed are similar across different weapon upgrades, which are:

How to Get Mythic Refinement Ore
Mythic Refinement Ore can be obtained by selling your unused Mythic items to a vendor at Mistfall Harbor Shrine. Fast travel to Mistfall Harbor Shrine, head east, and talk to the first vendor you see on the right, named Ginzo. He will buy whatever you sell, and if you sell Mythic items, you will get Mythic Refinement Ore.
How to Get Metal Scrap and Silk Thread
You can also buy Metal Scrap and Silk Thread from Ginzo. However, I would not recommend doing this, as they are expensive and can quickly drain your gold. Metal Scrap costs 500 gold each, and you need 500 for a V2 upgrade, meaning you would have to spend 250,000 gold in total. It is really not worth it.
Instead of buying them, it is better to farm bosses. Open-world bosses are the most reliable source of Metal Scrap and Silk Thread, so keep defeating them to gather the materials you need.

The base weapon is needed because V2 weapons are upgrades, not completely new weapons.

- Select your weapon and check that every requirement shows green.
- Confirm the craft. The base weapon is consumed, and your V2 weapon appears in your inventory.
Upgrading your weapons to V2 is a must, so you should unlock the Forge system as soon as you can and start working toward these endgame upgrades.
