Water Breathing Style stands out from most other styles in Slayers 2 for one reason: the trainer is not standing in plain sight waiting for you. Urokodaki is tucked away in a hidden area near Bamboo Grove that most players walk straight past without realising it is there. Get your materials together before you go hunting because the entrance is easy to miss and you do not want to make the trip twice. Here is everything you need to unlock Water Breathing Style in Slayers 2.

Water Breathing Requirements

RequirementAmountHow to Get
Level25Progress normally through the game by completing quests and defeating enemies
Wen5000Complete NPC quests
Demon Horns30Farm Hoyuzo Subordinates (30% chance for 1 Demon Horn) or the Hoyuzo Boss (50% chance for 3 Demon Horns)

The most efficient way to stack Demon Horns is to target the Hoyuzo Boss directly since a single kill gives you three at a 50% rate.

Where to Find the Water Breathing Trainer

Urokodaki is located inside a hidden area connected to Bamboo Grove Sanctuary in the top right corner of the main map. The entrance is not signposted anywhere in the game so follow these steps:

  • Step 1: Find the main bridge leading toward the house on the small island at Bamboo Grove.
  • Step 2: Look to the left of the bridge and scan the area for a cluster of bushes and pink flowers.
  • Step 3: Duck into the hidden passage concealed behind the bushes and flowers.
  • Step 4: Climb the ladder inside to reach Urokodaki.

Talk to him with your 30 Demon Horns and 5000 Wen ready and the questline begins.

All Water Breathing Training Tasks

Six tasks stand between you and Water Breathing. The order matters so follow the active quest marker after finishing each one to move on to the next location.

  • Parkour Dungeon: Unlike most training tasks, this one has nothing to do with button timing. You need to navigate a platform course from start to finish without falling.
  • Push-ups: A series of prompts flash up on the screen, and you need to hit each one as the indicator lines up with it. This is a straight rhythm challenge with no tricks.
  • Boulder Push: Match the directional movement shown on screen and keep a consistent input rhythm until the task is complete.
  • Aim Training: Targets appear across the screen in quick succession, and your job is to click them before they disappear.
  • Underwater Rocks: This is the most unusual task in the Water Breathing chain and the one that trips up the most players. You need to find 5 glowing blue rocks hidden in the waters around Bamboo Grove Sanctuary. The locations aren't fixed and randomise every run, so there is no route to follow. What does stay consistent is how they look. Each crystal gives off a bright blue glow along the riverbed that you can spot from above the surface if you take a moment to scan before diving.

Your oxygen runs out faster than you expect on the first few attempts. Surface between each grab rather than trying to chain multiple crystals in a single dive. Setting a nearby spawn point before you start means a drown does not send you far from where you left off.

The final task is a boss fight against Sabito the Water Trainee Mini Boss waiting just outside the training area. Sabito is faster than the trainees from other breathing style quests so blocking and reacting to his movements matters more than raw aggression. Get his attack rhythm down and strike in the gaps rather than trying to overpower him. Finishing the fight unlocks Water Breathing.
